bullitt vs challenger
Ran across this vid today, 2008 video, but better late than never.. I'd rather have the Stang IMHO, But that SRT8 is worth a test drive.

I dont think this is realy fair though, the SRT8 is the strongest model of the challengers, while the bullit isnt the strongest mustang. Plus thats comparing a 4.6 to a 6.1 :\ Also i have a pic of that car XD

yah, they should have compared it to the super snake huh? but then it wouldn't have won for the pricing

Really? I've never driven one or been inside one. I just have judged it from the exterior appearance. I don't see them very often around here. Maybe once every couple of weeks.

Yea, the KR is a bit much, but they should have compared it to a gt500. And a few diff sites have, Mustangs beat it all the way through v6 up to the biggest models. Including camaros stock for stock, mustangs win all.

Not the KR.
The SUPER SNAKE!!!!
P.S.
725hp FTMFW.

I have to give credit where credit is due: They did an outstanding job on the exterior, but the rest is just Blah. 4000 Lbs, $5k more? No thanks, I'll take the Mustang. And this Hemi **** cracks me up too. Worth an honorable mention, but it's not all that. You're paying for the status- which is nothing like the old Hemis.
It's about like the 6.0 L in the GTO (which by the way looks absolutely NOTHING like an old GTO). Had one in the shop last week that hit a mailbox and messed the hood and left scoop up. A buddy of mine- a chebbie guy, says "I bet that GTO would tear that Mustang up", referring to mine. I laughed and said "If all you GM guys get off thinkin a 6.0 liter can take a 4.6 liter, that just shows me what a benchmark the 4.6 is".
Not trying to get off topic, but it just cracks me up hearing this ****. I mean, I am more of a big block type guy, but the 281's are impressive.

Meh.
That new Challenger is like a dumb broad with big ****.
Fun to look at on the outside, but devoid of anything remotely interesting on the inside.
Interior looks like ***, and the thing weighs twice as much as Oprah.
I'll take the Bullitt.
At least that way, I can pretend I'm Steve McQueen and shoot my gun out the window an ****.

The 6.1 is a fun little car. It was certainly a dog off the line, but top end was amazing - test drove an srt-8 charger when I was looking at new vehicles. But the insurance price was crazy for it, and it made no sense for me to get a huge slow boat lol. The new mustang actually felt faster, and don't even get me started on turns lol. I assume the challenger performs about the same, due to the HUGE weight.

I raced and CRUSHED one of each yesterday. What does that say?
Ok... little more detail.
Went to get car smogged. On the way I hit the gas station. filling up next to me is a 08 bullit and across from him is a GT500 and across from him is a new 6.1L challenger. Gotta say the station was about to run out of premium. We all nodded and commented to each other on our cars and how great they looked then went our separate ways. I come to find out 20 minutes later that all our ways are the same one. We're all headed to San Jose. We cruise the mellow gold and just as the road splits into a multi-lane that leads onto the freeway we all jump to the fast lane and the race is on. Except for the GT500 we all got in it. The GT500 wasn't having any part of a race. He knew he'd stomp us. I pulled WAY WAY out ahead and then noticed I wasn't at WOT. So I gave it the last inch of pedal and that was that. The bullit was falling behind pretty quick. The Challenger was in front of the bullit but not by far and they were both losing time zones to me pretty quickly. I shut it down after 100mph. Neither car was wanting to pass me after that. Guess they were pretty embarrased.
EDIT: and I still got the car smogged. Hooked right up. Tried it earlier in the day and blew high HC at low load and high NOX at high load. This comes from having a hot cam and no EGR.

Lol. I'm not even a fan of the challengers body... as for the 5k price... 5k could buy you a nice supercharger... then its like "challengers 6.0 what?"
Congrats, you carry the "HEMI" title.. but it isn't what it used to be. 4.6 against a 6.1.. generally ya..its going to put out more power... sad part is.. bigger motor and it only runs .5 seconds quicker on the quarter..
Thats about as bad a comparing the 3.8 to the 4.6 ;/

LOL. I suppose. In the very least, I think they are still the only car company that uses 5 valves per cylinder (hence the need for a "hemi" chamber.) Of course, the newer cars have direct injection, so they had to go back to using 4 valves. But that's getting a little OT
