2 door Charger
The 2 door charger is here: http://forums.autoweek.com/thread.js...5978&tstart=-1
Car is already in final approval process at Dodge - probably available late 2006 as a 2007 model.

The new charger sucks, no style, basically a magnum to me. I'd be pissed if I was a charger fan back in the day and saw the nameplate on a sedan. The challenger will never never never come out in this form...especially not with the 1971 barracuda grill.
ugly+dodge+4doors = no sale from me :sad3:
I love camaros from the bottom of my heart (god I feel dirty saying that) but gm is on the way down. The 69 ish concept camaro will never look like the orange one posted. The 99-2002 camaro concept was bad *** looking and turned out with a catfish-looking front end...
high price + ugly = camaro dead :sad3:
GM comes out with great concepts but never builds them! If the camaro does make its return in 07, it will most likely be an australian car with a different front clip.
USA GTO=Australian Monero
USA Camaro = australian ???
I swear I will poop a brick if gm comes out with this throwback camaro...
under $40,000

Another 'cuda
Found another shot of the '09 Challenger mockup artwork: http://forums.autoweek.com/servlet/J...powerslide.jpg
Good artwork.
As for Charger fans being pissed at the name plate, think back to the 70's and how we felt with "Mustang II" models floating around with "Ghia" padded landau roofs (furrrrrr ball!).
The 2 door Charger looks better (see above link in prior post), but still ugly (but coupe ugly, not sedan ugly).
Camaro is most definitely coming back, and look for a complete house-cleaning at the GM design centers (exception: Cadillac - if they are smart, they'll be pulling the smarter minds out of there and bumping them upstairs to oversee the whole GM herd - ditto the Caddy marketing boys).
New Camaro will NOT really look like the current concept cars/sketches - those guys are toast, and so's their work - even if they don't know it yet...
New Camaro will be a true 4 style lineup: SS with corvette running gear; Z28 with LT; std with either V8 or V6, and all available as convertibles too. Body style will be similar to proportions of 70 model, with styling cues from same (long hood, short trunk deck, simple dominant lines) without hidden headlights or vinyl roof, of course. Look for new electronic AT pulled from Mercedes line, and european-made 6 speed for the top power models. Wheels will be updates of 60's rollers, with my prediction one of the more dramatic vette designs being the donor for the new look. Pricing will be competitive with Ford, with the base Camaro a bit cheaper than the 6 cyl Stang.
Of course, GM could also go completely belly up and follow Oldsmobile into oblivion before any of this happens. The patience of their stockholders with the current management team is beginning to resemble catatonia...

Dodge didnt do to good with the Charger even though Ive seen the Charger R/T in person (not to bad lookin from the sides) it looks nothing like the Charger of the Old days :crybaby2: I cant believe they stuck with the front grille like the truck....! If they make that 06 Challenger that would be an awesome rebound especially w/the Hemi! i think thats an awesome lookin photochop.

My #1 all time dream car is a Vitamin C Orange 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda, 4 in the floor with a pistol grip. If Chrysler brings back any musclecar of that era, especially to compete with the Mustang or Camaro (if it makes it back to market), it should be the E-Bodies of yesteryear.
If they bring back the Cuda/Challenger and don't screw it up, it'd be the best thing to happen for Chrysler in 33 years.
Bring back the muscle car era in full force...cause quite frankly the 60's and 70's wouldn't have been half of what it was had it not been for the Mopar's. (I'm a little biased when it comes to the muscle car era.)
I say bring it on Chrysler...but don't Screw it up :happy3:

Yes I am aware that the 71 Hemi's are one of the rarest and most valuble cars of the day, but for good reason. Those things kick asssssssss. I also want a 1970 Plymouth Cuda' AAR as well. And a Hemi Superbird for my dad.
If the next gen Cuda/challenger was to look like the above picture...I'm going to be a little pissed...because it isn't close enough to the original. In my opinion the body lines on the 1970-74 Cuda Is one of the most beautiful automobile profiles ever.
I reiterate Chrysler "Do not Fudge this up."
