Default Tranny Swap

I was thinking if I don't go with the Cobra Head Swap I want to try to swap a 5 speed in for my automatic. If I bought the kit from Tremec or where ever it was (can't remember but someone linked to it a few days ago), how much would it cost to get it all installed?

Why man why!! nah, I'm jk. I got an auto but will be doing a stall convertor, gears, shift kit, and maybe a valvebody. That will wake up any auto.

I just think it's so much more fun to drive a stick. Autos can be boring.

T3650 probably. Damnit, all of my upgrade plans keep getting shot down. I guess I'll just have to wait til I'm much older and then I'll buy something with 4 valves and a 6 speed.

Well I dunno about you guys but I plan on getting as much use out of this motor and auto tranny as possible and when its their time to go then i'll do the swap most likely to a forged motor something I plan on building once I get a place to myself.......no point in swaping out a good motor and tranny when I have a good one that works.

Your car is bone stock, so go trade it for another thats stick and your good to go. If you really wanna do the swap search Modulardepot or powerhouse its been covered with a parts list at depot i belive.

buy the transmission, and I know steen racing does the swap for 500.00 if you buy your parts. I have seen prices for install goes high as 1500.00. So shop around but find a reliable shop to do it.

stick with auto.. Be proud to drive an automatic.. I love driving stick.. but us automatic guys gotta stick together!....whats the point of swapping if it's just going to be more fun.. heres an idea take that money you would spend on the swap, wait take half that or maybe even a third and get an old manual honda or whatever and drive that. .....ha!
