V6 problem

when i start my car the engine is ticking is this a problem, it seems to stop when it is warmed up

mine does that,, i think alll 6's do that. from what i can understand is that its the manifold cracked or the gasket cracked one. and when it heats up the metal is expanding filling the holes so u dont hear the exhaust leak. it sucks, im gonna just put LT's on mine while im in on it because they look like they will be a bitch to fool with.

Could be a cracked manifold or you are not getting lubrication to the top end of the motor like you should when its cold.

mine has the same "ticking" and i'm willing to bet it's the passenger side manifold. Maybe one day i'll be able to afford LT's!!

i always thought it was the top end not getting lubrication, never heard about the manifold causing it.. i guess its just more reason to get lts
