Roller Rockers?

They do provide a nice small power gain. You can get them from this company for the 3.8 motor.

The 1.8 and the 1.73 will both work the 1.8 will just give you more lift but if you get a cam they will have to go cause with a cam they can cause the pushrods to rub on the cylinder heads and you will run into issues with valve cover clearence

that has been said but i have 1.8rr and a cam and have for years. if the person making the cam knows you have 1.8rr you should be fine.

If you only want a cam and roller rockers just order them from a the companies. If you want a cam that is more nitrous friendly you need to talk to either Comp Cams or Crower and see what they can recommend for you and your setup. As for the roller rockers you can use the higher ratio with a stock cam to get a little more lift and that along with the less friction of the better roller rockers will add some power. However if you go with higher lift rockers you need to let the cam company know so they can figure out a cam to work with that.
I would love to see a nitrous setup with a nice matching cam in a v6. I would love to see what kinda power it would make on a pretty safe 100shot.

hey spike i have a question to ask you or anybody if yall could help me out with this question ...
as u know i will be going turbo soon. I wanted to know if i should get 1.73 or 1.8 RR (Non-Adjustable or Adjustable). If i were to get 1.8 RR then i would stay with my stock cam, even when i go turbo. I really want to go with 1.8 RR because i dont want to pay more money to have a cam installed (on my next build ill go with a cam). Also on that site you posted, i saw that it says on the Non-Adjustable * Harland Sharp original series, pedestal mount, 3.8L V6 Ford roller rockers are designed to be a replacement for the factory rocker that fits under the stock valve cover. Simply remove the factory rockers and replace with your new Harland Sharp roller rockers. We recommend always checking for head & valve cover clearance and proper lifter preload.
* These non-adjustable rockers are designed to the factory specs. If you change camshafts or machine the heads, you will have to correct your pushrod length. Always check before installing.
And on the Adjustable * Harland Sharp original series, "Adjustable" pedestal mount, 3.8L V6 Ford roller rockers are not designed to be a replacement for the factory
rocker system.
* These adjustable rockers are designed to mount to the factory location and may require shorter pushrods and additional clearance to the cylinder head. We recommend them only to be used for serious racing applications
I have stock cam/lifters/etc...But i did port my heads so i dont know if this would matter. So would 1.8 RR be good for me since i dont want to go cammed yet.

Like we said before you can run either ratio roller rockers. But if you do run the 1.8 rockers then when you do get a cam you need to let the cam company know so they can figure that out when they grind the lift into the cam. Basically 1.8 is fine and you want non adjustable ones.

If you're going to run rockers, I don't think I'd recommend a 1.8 rocker, or even a 1.73 theres been some issues with them. 1.7 seems to be fairly solid, and its what Tom at SuperSix offers most of the time. I don't know a whole lot about rockers, but for questions like this I'd probably suggest talking to some of the guys at v6power.
I've got a comp cam setup for nitrous going in the car, however my rockers will stay the same size.
For those of you who are thinking about doing this and are on a singleport...run a splitport first, and if you're going to be digging through the engine like that, I'd say save the money, invest in a stroker, and go from there.

Your running a stock ratio roller rockers because your cam already is going to have a lot of extra lift ground into it. I agree for sure, if your gonna pull the valve covers off, take the intake and heads off while your at it and go split for for sure (You 94-98 v6 guys).
