30lb Injectors...

Default 30lb Injectors...

Just wanted to ask if my stock fuel pump would be ok with 30lb injectors

(Car info is on my sig)

With stock motor no need for them. If you do go boosted then you will need to replace the pump regardless.

I'm pretty sure brown top injectors are 36# injectors not 19#. What did they come off of?

they came off of a 5.0 dont know the year, dont really think they are 36# cuz the guy gave them to me, told me that he was upgrading to 24# injectors

OK yes the old pre 96 19# ones are brown and not orange. When they started making 36# ones they changed the color to orange.

also would i need to tune it?

cuz on my tuner i only have the option of 24lb or 30lb injectors

The tune has to change so the car knows what injectors are in it or it will not run right. Also those I believe are low impedance injectors and your car uses high impedance injectors so I don't even think they will work for you in this application. I would have to check a few things but I'm pretty sure I'm right.

i've been wondering about this lately also, and i dont mean to jack your thread but what injectors do the stock v6s come with and would some gt or crown vic injectors work in my car?

on my kind of year they come with 14lb and 99-04 v6 mustang they come with 19lbs

You can up your injectors only when you need it. Changing them out will not give you more horsepower. So until you have a stout n/a motor or some kind of forced induction don't worry about it
