if im going this route...is there any benefit to having a mid pipe at all or should i just go with two pipes straight back from the headers without crossing?
they had the spintechs in stock.

i've always thought/been told that since the v6 is even firing you dont have to have a crossover

You do not have to have a crossover on a v6, and an X-pipe is the worse idea on a v6 ever.

ok thats what i thought...would it be better to have them make up an h pipe or just go straight back from the headers to the tips?

An H-pipe would not hurt it, but its not really gonna help. Also it will most likely be cheaper without the crossover too.

Really unsure as to why you're looking for adapters..

All in all it would be cheaper for you to go to an exhaust shop, tell them to cut the Y pipe and weld in a H pipe for you..

I had my H pipe welded in for 50 bucks. Had new pipes ran for 150. Had two magnaflow mufflers installed for 130 a peice.

Its all welded, so it'll help with preventing exhaust leaks, like bolting up does quite often.
And there aren't any fitment issues like you would find with mass produced products.

I ran my exhaust without a crossmember for some time.. decided to put an H in though.. it really doesn't matter, just avoid an X pipe.

ok lol i was just wondering since i found that...no one near me seems to be able to get mac's tho...thats what i was looking to go with. how would magnaflow compare to mac?

also on another note...this one dude asked me if i had a manifold or headers...i just figured everyone had headers...am i wrong?

Manifolds and Headers are basically the same thing on our v6 unless you have longtubes.

And MAC currently takes FOREVER to ship their products out. I won a CAI from them, took 3 months for it to even ship.

Magnaflow carries a deeper/quieter tone. Spintechs are nice.. if you can find them..but they are a bit pricey.

Flowmasters ect are pretty raspy and just don't sound great on a v6..

Its all personal preference, but I have went ahead and gone magnaflow..

I haven't heard MACs exhaust products, so I can't really judge it, but I know that they are slower then dog **** right now..

I was in a show at Dodger Stadium that was put on by autobadges. One of the sponsors happened to be giving away a MAC CAI ..I won it..but when I entered my code deal on the sponsors site..MAC was backordered apparently..

ok well i think im actually going to buy the mufflers and tubing and make my own, i can do all of the welding at the auto shop on base.

when im buying the tubing...whats the optimal size for a v6? does it really matter?

plus to go over the axle...should i just buy some tubing thats already bent?

i believe the stock size is 2.25 but it wont hurt to run 2.5.. and yea its probably better to buy some already bent unless you're a pretty good fabricator..

i never seem to run out of questions lol...so now that i know what size tubing i need...i guess what i'll do to get the pipe over the axle is buy two u bends (one for each side) and 4 90 degree bends to attach it to the straight pipes...is this the best way to go?

Its just a Mac axle back (aka just a muffler replacement) setup for the 05+ v6 cars. I didn't know what year car he had so I used that video.
