Mixing tire brands
I've got a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 GS's that I have to replace. The other pair has plenty of tread, and I'd like to just leave them in the rear. I don't feel like spending another 500+ on a pair of GYs, so would there be any major issues with putting some Sumis in the front, with the GYs in the back? I know there may be some possible differences in handling, but hopefully this setup will be for a short time.

Some would agree that you shouldn't do it and others will say that it's fine. I have a set up with different brands in the front and rear, never had a problem with it. The only thing you want to stay away from is mixing brands horizontally (backs should be the same/ fronts should be the same).
I wouldn't rec to someone to mix brands but i also would tell them it's horrible to do so... if that makes sense.
