Dodge Stratus R/T.. Still an R/T. Still much faster than you.

Looking for a '96-01 Cobra or an '02-05 GT. Just waiting patiently for the right one to come along. I may actually end up tracking down an old Fox LX or something to play with, but I'd honestly rather have a newer car.

I got my Stratus for $9k, so I couldn't really pass it up considering it's fully loaded, leather, infinity 7 speaker stereo with 4 disc changer, power seat, sun/moon roof, etc.. Plus it's just a great little car, quick and has coil-over suspension so not only is it faster than my Fiance's '05 in a straight line it carves the corners better too.. lol

 

I will admit, while my 'stang was in the shop I "raced" a Civic, in a rented Mazda 6 4-banger.

The Civic pulled up next to me at a red light that turned left into the on-ramp leading to the Expressway. He kept creeping forward at the light, one of these morons who put a big spoiler on the back of a front wheel drive car and stuck a fart-cannon on the exhaust so it sounds like a swarm of drugged bees being shot out the *** of an elephant. I knew he wanted in front of me, as his lane was set up to merge into mine.

When the light turned green, I floored it, as did he. When he was securely behind me, I stopped accelerating and did the speed limit for the rest of the on-ramp. Once we were on the six-lane expressway, he jumped over to the far left lane and floored it. Boy did he show me!

Yes it was juvenile and probably not the safest thing for me to do, but I hate that kind of crap.

Oh Snap! lol. I work on an air force base and dude was selling an 01 cobra over here but it had like 88k miles. he was selling it for 11k. Yeah nice deal on the R/T

 

why would any one that drives one of thouse peaces of **** even bother to race?

That's not a horrible deal for that Cobra, but I've seen better. And yeah, my car retails around $12-13k around here, so it worked out pretty well. Still miss my old slow sixxer though.

 

yeah i wanted something with low miles. awesome gotta love messin around. It would be a boring world with out it! You got a good deal. yeah another guy on base is selling his 67 stang. it is a mock shelby. I think it has the 289 in it but he keeps droping the price so i think something is wrong with it. Looks nice though!
