so 2 things...

first i keep toying with the idea of cutting off my antena and makeing it match the roof line. but first im afraid to loose too much reception and second i cant get the little ball thingy off the top. should i just cut it off and round it off on my sander or try to get the ball off.


second im looking at caliper paint and what color do u guys think that i should paint them.

Don't paint them red please. I would go black if I was you.

 

I'm painting mine red over the weekend, but I have a gray Mustang. I'd do them SILVER or RED if I were you. And definitely buy a shorty antenna. I've never had any reception problems with mine.

 

if you want to get that ball off the top of the antenna, you need a nail remover, a vise, and a hammer. thats what i used, just clamp down the antenna and plow off that little ball using the nail remover with a hammer. Just make sure u have some way to catch that little ball... it will go flying!

Oh... and go black calipers

 

yeah i got the ball of like u said and i cut the antena down to 22 in. it looks good and i didnt notice any reception loss. ill see how i like it and mabe ill cut it down a litte more later if it needs it.

i cant decide on the calipers.
black would look good behind the fr500's but silver would lood good with the silver lip on the fr's.

if u already have silver trim i'd def do silver calipers.
