i heard prochargers weren't as good as superchargers. like they don't push as much boost as a supercharger.

Whoever you heard that from needs to read more and talk less. Prochargers make around 300rwhp with the 11psi kit. I recommend getting a Procharger kit from VMP Tuning.

a procharger is a supercharger. Procharger is just the name of the brand. http://www.procharger.com/ I would do a little more research before you add the power adder just so you know what all your getting yourself into and what not

for your average guy the X-charger is a great unit. It's a little less efficient than a procharger/vortech/paxton centrifugal unit or a twin screw Autorotor sourced PD type would be but it's easy to install, easy to drive and easy to own. You won't make as much peak power as with other systems but you'll love it every single day that you drive the car.

procharger is ok but I don't like their blower head units. They're designed to be cheap to make and that sacrifices some durability (not quality, durability... there's a difference). In the centrifugal supercharger field I would go Vortech then Paxton then Procharger.

Do a LOT more research before you make any decisions. You need to understand as much as possible so you don't go chasing an untamed ornathoid without cause.

^The BEST advice so far!
Make sure u have everything you need to know before spending a single penny.

Hopefully your research will help you choose a supercharger (my research scared me away)
