What parts should I buy?

What parts should I buy?
I just wanted your opinions on a few parts to get for my 07 V6 Mustang. before you start saying get a Supercharger or a Turbo, I'm not looking to heavily mod it. It's my DD so I'm just looking for a few simple cost efective mods that might give me a few more ponys but also help the mpg a couple as well. CAI, TBS, Tuner, Exaust? Any Ideas or perfered brands? And why? I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks, Tyler

Well by brands I figured the most popular would be the best bang for the buck. Are headers worth it? And short tube/long tube, what's the difference? I'm not mechanicly inclined so sorry for what I'm guessing is an easy answer haha.

If the car can breath better, it willmake more power and get better MPG. But, many mods are just not worth the money especially on a V-6. Don't waste your time with headers. The cost of the parts plus install will never be worth it.
Things like throttle bottles, plenums, and and CIA's are all better options. But, even if you had all three, you will need to invest $400 - $700 for about 10 - 12 hp tops.

I'd skate the rest and just put a base 8psi vortech kit on it for the engine mods. It's safe for a daily driver, and very reliable. All the bolt on's in the world aren't going to make you any more happy than you are now. V6 just ain't got the cubes to make the power from them.
For the biggest bang for the buck, can't beat 4.10 gears. I'd start there and if you're not happy after that then go to the blower. Vortech or paxton are the ones I like. Others like procharger but I don't for reasons of engineering persnikity-ness on my part.

if that's your reason for picking procharger, you need to learn a few thousand things. A hole in the oil pan is the LEAST of your possible issues and anyone that understands what it's there for is grateful to have to punch the hole and move the AC lines. Really bud... you got some things to discover, better hop to it before you have problems induced by your decision making process. Not harping on you but I think you have a lot to learn before you decide on a blower.

that's cool... just the reasons weren't good.
streamline... what kind of budget have you assigned to the project? It's critical to know that before we go pretty much any farther or you're likely to get some bad advice sourced from worse intel.

It really just depends, I AM planning to do a Supercharger of some sort, but not for a few years when my warrenty runs out (it's my DD remember). I was just looking for some nice little mods that might help the car stand out a bit as well as pick up a few ponys and mpg. I wasn't sure what these cars take to the best since I'm coming from a very different platform?
