Exactly how positive are you that there is not anyone out there with a Mustang V6 with over 630 whp that just doesent post online?

lol

take yer own advice about posting while yer at it.

This guy is wondering if it is possible to build this. While it may not be practical and extremmly expencive with a lot of custom engineering. That really is no more foolish than making assumptions that nobody has a faster 3.8l than Matt N from Delk.

lol
I'm not saying that I have seen EVERY dynosheet from a v6 (nor would I want to) but I've been heavily involved in teh v6 community for many years now. I don't frequent this board much because it gets tiring seeing the same old "which cai adds more power" or "will my mpg go up with this k&n filter" thread over and over again. I will say that while Matt N has the most proven hp car out there I'm sure that GT-EATER or _J_ on v6power will give him a run for his money.

Hey, thanks for that very informative post.

40K? I think you'd be spending alteast around 100k for a car will will handle 1000hp and the motor to make that much power. The best thing to do would be to find a 4.5l v6 motor that NASCAR no longer uses and build that up. You'll see around 600-800hp with a very serious build list but it'll be a TON of work.

Why do you want to build a 1000hp v6? It's not always about power, it's about putting that power to the ground and being able to use it.

its all about torque!
the only reason the buggatti veyron has 1001 hp is b/c thats how much hp it takes to keep that car going 253
so unless your going 253 mph you dont need 1000 hp

My whole point is to make the ultimate sleeper. the people on this forum dont believe 1000hp is possible so what does that mean for those in the v8 crowd? Besides that, i think it would be a first in the v6 mustang community to have this much power. any thoughts and comments are appreciated.
Are you talking about the Nelson with a VR4 (6 Cylinder AWD twin Turbo)? He spent god aweful amounts of money on that thing but it is one fast sob. It holds a few records if 3SX hasn't beat them yet. There are a bunch of 3000GTs and Stealths with over 1000hp (and their only 3 liters..well stock anyway). So I'm sure it's possible but why bother? Just a lot of time and money for something you really don't need to do? Just my opinion anyway.

Awwwww, are you upset because I gave you **** for needlessly blasting this guy, not even getting the words right in your blasting? Did trying to lob a half-assed personal attack at me make you feel better?

Nope, I'm not upset at all. I didn't attack the guy, I was pointing out the obvious.

No..we aren't talking about the vr4..we're talking about a v6 mustang pushing high horsepower. And yes, a thousand horsepower engine is possible on anything.. its a matter of having the funds for it all, and actually being able to get it to move..

not true in fact you can make a 1000hp car without turning it into a drag car depending on how you have the gears in the transmission spaced

if it were me i would just drop a v8 from roush in it do a little cutting and put twin turbos on it and a few other performance parts and call it good of course you will get alot of straight line power along with the ability to still drive on the streets depending on how much you have to cut which depends on the size of the turbos you put on it... just saying

Never mind the naysayers...they really don't get it. What you are wanting to do has already been done. It is entirely possible. It takes money, time, engineering, patience, and above all....***** when it's time to drive it! I provided a link to just one such person who did exactly what you are wanting to do....

Just go to that youtube video. What an insane ride!!! Keep the faith!

One more thing...if you're building a Fox body Mustang, they're much lighter than the new Mustangs. That being said, same engine/drivetrain combo and you're looking at pure insanity!!!

I also have a sn95 mustang (1996) and I’m glad I’m not the only one hoping to get an obscene amount of hp out of it. My goal though is to make a TT Supercharged monster 100% capable of dusting any interceptors if need be. I was hoping someone could direct me to a website where I can get new engine parts but more focused around racing.
