Wanted to Upgrade my Mach 460 system in my 94 mustang gt to the mach 1000, is it possible, I have only ever seen the subs added to the 2003 and 2004 models.. Can anybody help and tell me if i can add the subs and amp rack to the 94 should i purches them..?

 

it is possible, but it costs alot of money[$1000-$1300]. there is a place in royal oak, mi. that does it

 

You would have much better sound to go aftermarket head unit/speakers/amps/subs.

 

I would recommend against this at all costs! You'll be MUCH happier with an aftermarket system. Plus you won't waste a lot of money. Oh and you'd have to change your center console to accept the double din deck (ie - get a 01 - 04 console) and the colours might not match up and then you'd have to pain it and holy crap, BAD IDEA!

 

Mine came with the 1000 and I like it. But dont listen to it much anymore, would rather listen to the sound of my car

 

Ya, since I got my MagnaFlow exhaust installed the stereo doesn't see as much use!

i have an alpine headunit, audiobahn 1200watt amp, pioneer 4way speakers, and 3 10" mtx competition subs all wrappd up in a jl audio custom box for my trunk - dynamat throughout the entire car. crank'd up people refuse to sit in my car because they claim - Word For Word - they feel like their lungs are shaking and they have a hardtime breathing. i set off a good 20 alarms in a closed parking lot - stay away from factory sound systems and just move it to aftermarket

 

haha.. i think i finally upgraded after 4 yrs of owning the car...

as for the mach1000? if its anything like the 460= crap.. get rid of that ridiculously large/ useless speaker enclosure in the trunk.. i think you'll shave off 40lbs.. go here: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/ i bought a bunch of stuff from them.. good people. get a decent set of components for the fronts, 2in tweeter can go in the window box, a 6.5 sub in the door. add some 2 ways to the rear, maybe a little 12 JL sub in the back.. wire it yourself, its not rocket science/ or overally complicated.. just have someone to help you out, when you have to guide in the amp wire through the firewall.. use a hanger for the doors.. good luck!

i got the mach 1000 its awsome better than the aftermarket one in my f150 ****ing sweet.
