Question Tune-UP

hi all agian i have a couple ? for a full tune-up

what type of oil is best,filter,spark plugs and spark plugs wires,tran oil if i need it. o one more thing i need all four shocks and what type of brakes r good.

i need to buy everything at autozone or there is a web-site i can buy them.

we kinda need to know what you drive the miles on it when the last maintance was done etc.. before i would recomend anything.

o the last time i did a full tune up was in april it was before i drive from cali to texas the car had 71,254miles now it has 76.456mile on it. its a 2001 mustang

strange like ???? oil color is dark or black like mine?

yeah get a haynes.
ford oil change non synthetic every 5. synthetic should last much longer.
really... i may be ridiculed for this but what ever. any way conventional oil can last up to 10,000 miles no problem but its better to change it.

Do not change your oil every 3k miles thats plain stupid and wasting money. Even regular oil is fine till 5k miles no problem.

then why do most oil change places and dealerships say to change every 3k?

Because if you change it more often they get more money out of you.

ok then i'm going to wait til i hit 78 or 80,000miles. But i still need shocks.
i have a conv. does it matter what type of shocks i get?
what kind of brakes should i get?

If you dont care just get cheap replacement from autozone. The they have supercheap pads and shocks/struts. If you want some better stopping power they have decent ceramic pads at most autoparts places too. If you want better more performance orientated shocks/struts your gonna have to order them.

What do you want really out of the car?

i just want to stop quick when i have too here in texas there is a lot of people dont know how to drive. good shock too there is a lot of holes in the street here
