Default Went to test & tune tonite

Decided at the last minute to head over to Gateway and run in street tire test and tune. I was not expecting much since this season has been a cluster F*&# so far for me. I was running late so I left the back seat in, just pulled the spare and jack and put the Nitto's on. I had too much gas in the tank and it was 87 octane, mixed in some 93 and flipped the tune to strip. Got 10 runs in and won all 10 races. Ran a best of 13.04 @ 104.96 that is by far the best I have run this year and better yet it corrected to 12.80 @ 106.50 and that was with a mediocre 1.876 sixty foot time. I had two classic LS1 vs. GT match ups and won both by a car length, a year ago I would have lost both times and been pissed. I hate those LS1 turds, he did a fly by both times after I beat his Chebby ***. What a tool! Saw a couple of guys I know and had a great time. I still hate my Nitto's but they are almost dead so I can get some MT drag radials and then I should hit high 12's. Overall had a great time, it's fun when your car runs good and even better when you can beat an LS1 or two. It felt great just to run again, I have made too many excuses for not racing this year, just gotta get out and do it.

D.A. was 1,269 to 1,563 last night when I ran so the times are legit. Unlike my 12.89 which was -200 feet, lol. I still claim it anyway. I think the car has a high 12.7 in it with slicks and skinnies which I have but have not run yet.
Hope to run those next week.

Not bad at all, I could have made 20 passes I wanted.I did not make my first pass until 7:15 and still ran 10 times and took two breaks to watch.

He didn't, he is full of $hit. Autos with less the 250rwhp can't run 13.00

:laughing7

Adam
(247rwhp/271rwtq oh yeah, thru an automatic)

Practice and sinking thousands of dollars into a low 13 car.
I need nitrous, there were two Neons running low 12's last night and a 4 door blown Buick going 12.8's. If I hit it with a 100 shot out of the hole I'll go 11.5-11.7's just gotta swap the 3.73's back in.

I can't run slicks on street tire night only dot approved Dr's. I am pressing in the studs today so I can run slicks and skinnies, now I just need to get the safety loop in and about 100 more hp.

sweet times!! Id really like to get some more runs in since the weather has been 70+ and before the gears finally go in. I think they have dust on em for sitting untouched for a while.

Jay I have a set of 3.73's in the garage but I think I'll go with 4.10's once I spray it.

Gateway is a huge facility and I don't know how they keep the prices down so low. The crowds are small and lately there have not been alot of cars (maybe 150) showing up to run. In the middle of the summer when it's real hot and nasty all the kids show up to run. Go figure, I love running in the spring and fall when it's cooler and the DA is much better.

turn off the traction control and overdrive, put it in drive while keeping your left foot on the brake and the right foot just above the gas pedal. On the third amber stomp it while letting off the brake, sit back and enjoy the ride.
