procharger is a good kit if you dont want to deal with the hassle of a turbo, i had one, made ~309whp @11psi with exhaust + blower.

nice thing is your can find them pretty cheap now a days used

ehh, since the industry hasent evolved in the turbo sector as much as the supercharger sector you see manny more well done supercharger kits and not so manny well done turbocharger kits. . .

any buisness that does Turbo kits is a small buisness and there are a lot of kits with fitment issues, relocation issues etc etc.

Not to mention you get a lot more under the hood temps so heat is more of an issue with turbocharger kits

im not trying to discourage you, i <3 my turbo kit and would never go back, but its not for everyone. .

I got a vortech supercharger installed around new years and so far it has treated me well. Unfortunately, the weather hasn't. I have only put on 300 miles since then, but then again I dont drive this car during the winter time much. I am sure during the spring and summer I will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Right now I am producing about 260 HP at 8lbs of boost. Go for it and let us know what you think.

The Procharger is the way to go because it comes with an intercooler .
other things to think about , you need to upgrade your exhaust , it would help to have the heads and intakes ported , a nice cam also helps alot , bigger injectors , a good tune and you will need to look at upgrading the rear end .

I have heard that you can run at 10 - 13 psi with a stock engine with no problems.

11 psi is about the most someone should push with the procharger on a stock engine. Sure you could go 13 hell you could go 15 will it last maybe, maybe not. Go out and find out. If you're not so daring stick to the 11.

soo what would you have to do to the stock engine to make it handle about 15psi?? i'm relatively mechanically enclined but still a newbe when it comes to turbos/superchargers..

Forged pistons and rods...

Are we talking handle 15 psi or handle 15 psi on pump gas, cuz then your getting into compression ratios. Forged internals either way, and a good tune, watch your air/fuel ratio. I do know if injectors would be an issue at this point, but if anyone does, please speak up. If you get into injectors, don't forget your MAF.

After the engine, don't forget about your rear. 15 psi + 7.5 w/out t-lok = lots of one tire fire.

Well then if he wants that much info:

Forged internals (rods and pistons)
drop the CR a bit
dyno tune (duh!)
probably want to go with a 8.8" rear so you can run DR's or slicks at the track if you so choose.
42 lb/hr injectors or the 03 cobra 39's which really flow like 42's but they're not
MAF (probably a SCT unit or a 90 or 80mm lightning one might work.
SVT focus fuel pump

I could go on and on...

on pump gas for sure, i'd hate to see the prices of race fuel right now...i'm contemplating going the turbo route after i save up a lil more, so all this info is def. helpful...so what is everyone getting for MPG with turbo/superchargers? daily driving of course.

Honestly i dont know . . . my odometer isnt working and hasnt for a while.

what i can tell you is that before i swapped trannys i got ~ 24MPG on the highway, this is because of the 3.73's. but the new tranny has a .59 instead of a .78 so i cruise at about 1,000rpms less now . . .

/shrug i must get pleanty over 25 on the highway but i have no clue on the streets

dang, i get right around 20/21 or so combined city and highway...so i guess the TT doesn't really take away from the mpg much if any. did you swap the tranny out with a beefed up version or basically the stock one? (i heard somewhere our tranny's are only good up to around 300hp, idk if its true or not...)

i'm seriously contemplating going the turbo or twin turbo route. but i want to gather as much info about it as i can because the car is my daily driver, i don't want shitty gas mileage but i want it to be a lil faster then what it is and still dependable...it's like walking a tightrope i suppose.
