No it will still be the same as previous model GT's..320-340hp on the new mustangs wonte be able to compete with the camaro, challenger etc.

Not only that, if it [the Camaro] stays as is w/ the idependent rear and all the extras they threw in, the base price is going to be pretty high, probably around 30 grand for the V8. Also, I don't think Ford will increase the power of the GT since next year, the Shelby GT is going to be sold w/ similar power numbers. Then again, Ford has had a history of screwing Shelby over...
Anyway, to compete w/ the Challenger, the only way it can is either w/ the GT500 or w/ a N/A 3V or 4V 5.4 added to the stock GT options list. Or Ford can restart the 6.3L Huricane program and bring that into the Mustang...

It's about time Ford is catching up....think about it....if a Z or G35 can get 290hp out of their engines there is no reason why Ford can't get at least 260 out of their v-6.....Looks like I'm gonna have to trade up to cause I can't have a v-6 with some mods cleaning my clock! ha ha ha.

Yea I will be keeping my GT another year or so and then getting something else with more power. Probally won't get another mustang unless they come out with a more appealing body style.

I'm not liking the concept sketch.......I really won't want to see the Mustang turned into a futuristic styled car....I don't think we're at that point yet for that kind of styling.

What is sure to be new for Mustang is displacement-on-demand (DOD) technology that will shut down 4 of the 8 cylinders while coasting or cruising at speed.
What? Gay.

possibly gay... possibly a reason to get environmentalists off our ***... and you can surely turn the system off f you dont want, or it couldd be an exta $ option to have it

you cant?

But seriously, a 260 base v6 would be SICK, how awsome would wiping the floor with the old 2v GT's with a stock v6.

HOWEVER, the 2v GT motor i assume will react better to mods just because of the displacement etc

No all of the higher hp cars are going to it, and its a seamless transition. It would only be gay if you dont want the extra 5mpg or so.

It has worked great so far on all the Hemi cars and now Hemi trucks. GM also has it on some too now I think.

I think they need to keep that DOD stuff far away from Mustangs .They can slap some DOD on Fusions all day if they want.

I can just see it now....You line up with a 09 Camaro in your 09 Stang, the light goes green and VROOM ...the Camaro takes off,and the Stang throws a code and the other 4 cylinders dont wanna turn back on,lmao.

What excuses can you possibly make ,lol? Its not like "I was in the wring gear" .It would be more like "man I was only runnin 4 cylinders a millisecond bro " .

the 09 mustang looks better then the 05-08 IMPO

the 05-08 was too squared and didn't flow too nice... It looks good... they accomplished making and old car look new... but the front bumper and hood look like ***...

the 09 has much nicer lines...

maybe I will have graduated by then and I can buy me one... a GT or cobra of coarse... f that v6 puss crap

I aint ever gonna sell my SN though
