the v6 is going to be pretty close in comparison to insurance. basically anything you get into is expensive because of your age. The first 6 months they will hit you bad untill they look at your driving record. if you drive well with no tickets, you get rewarded. if you speed and drive like a jackass, you get punished, twice. First you get tickets and points, THEN your insurance goes up. lol

my insurance actually went down when i got my mustang. im just turned 20. i was driving a 97 chevy lumina before and paying ~887 every 6/months for insurance, now im paying 701 6/mo. bumped the deductible down to 500 from 750 and got a few more discounts from my parent's homeowner's insurance

The best thing to do is to have the car put in your name. I saved up for a long time and had enough money to buy mine with cash and have the title in my name. That makes the insurance a little cheaper. I'm 16 with a speeding ticket and my insurance is only $121 a month. The only discount I have is good student discount.

I am paying $59 a month for a 2006 Gt conv. full coverage.. I'm 22 tho and when I got my first mustang when I was 18.5 it was about 180 per month. yeah get it under your parents and have them list you as a part time driver. After I changed over to a part time driver it dropped down by half.

Yup. There's a number of things that can help you get cheap insurance. Everyone thinks that it's impossible for a male that is 18 and under with a sports car to get cheap insurance. It's not. Just do the things Adrian and I talked about and you should be around 100 bucks, give or take a few.
