Default Radiator help

I need some seasoned help. I was driving on the highway the other night and my radiator hose blew. Since it was the middle of the night when it blew I just duct taped the hose and drove the twenty minutes to my house. Not the best idea in the world but I didn't have much choice. I made it just as the engine just started to overheat. I fixed the hose and replenished the coolant the next day but now it's taking forever for the vent to heat up. I don't know if I hurt the thermostat somehow or messed up the heater but if someone know's what's going on some help would be much appreciated
