Default New Radiator, What do you think? Good purchase?

Ok so Im at work and don't have alot of time to explain but my radiator split yesterday. I need to order a new one TODAY. I'm either getting a stock radiator or a new alum. one. The stock piece is going to be $208, and the Mishumoto radiator on AM is $211 after the discount. What do yall think about this Mishimoto radiator. I don't want to regret buying it. I will explain better when I get home from work tonight.

I bought it and put it on 3 day shipping, 2 day was an extra $100. If anyone thinks the Mishumoto radiator sucks speak up now. Bestow the advice upon me. It sucks not having time to research before buying a part or doing a mod. And being busy at work and trying to get it all done.

Never even heard of the company until AM started selling them. Personally, I'd go w/ a company w/ experience behind it, like Fluidyne.

Yeah if your going aftermarket go with Fluidyne. I'm sure theres nothing wrong with Mishimoto but i'd personally go with the fluidyne.

BTW. Didn't you just flush your radiator?

Yes, I did just flush my radiator. I told my mechanic that too, he said it didn't have anything to do with it, although it makes me wonder. The plastic part on the side cracked. I hope the Mishumoto radiator is a good one. I know Fluidine would be a safe bet but I could only find them at Summit and at $430 it would be out of the question anyway.

Edit: After doing just a little bit of research, I haven't been able to find anything bad about Mishimoto's radiators. It does seem more like an import focused company but every review on different boards have been extremely positive. We'll see.

stay stock. I've heard quite a few problems with cooling on other brands including the one on AM

This radiator should cause the car to run a little cooler, a 2 row alum. piece. I have found out that the lower passenger side radiator mount is a stress point on the car and can cause the radiators to crack. Meaning, when the car flexes, it pulls in the radiator, causing the crack. I think this must be what happened to mine becuase I didn't do anything other than daily driving (and autocross) to dirrectly cause the crack.

If the side has a crack in it you could of just sealed it up with JB Weld. But there are some reveiws on AM.com site and they have decent reveiws on it. I mean how hard can it be to screw up a radiator.

I probably could have done something to repair it but I didn't spend much time thinking about it. I let my mechanic pressure test it and then decided to buy a new radiator. And it's not something I really want to take a chance with. It would be my luck to be at an autocross or actually get the chance to take it on a road course and have the fixed crack re-crack and me not look at the temp. gauge and then warp a head or something. Plus the alum radiator is something I have been wanting to do since eventually I will take it on open track days and autocross more and more.
