Default rim question

ok so i have some stock 97 gt rims, that i actually really like, but if i were to put them back on my car i want them to shiney more than they do, do yall have any ideas of how to get a really nice shiney from them. and also

Currently i have 99 cobra rims, and here probly within the next month if i don't fix the problem i will need to switch out my rear tires, i have a set of rears already on the rims and all i would have to do is change the front to my old 97 gt rims, which do yall think looks better or will look better on my car. my current 99 cobras, or polishing my 97 rims??

And i know this may be a bad question to ask, and i probly won't do it, but is there anyway to get my 99 cobras to be shiny like chrome ish with out ruining the original rims, because i really like the look of chrome/shiny rims on black cars.

where do you get rims chromed at? They just dip them, or do they sand them down?

I believe they sand blast them first then they dip the rim in nickel so the chrome sticks and then they finally dip it in chrome. I am probably missing a couple steps but that is the basics of it. You can have the rims dipped more than once too. This will make sure the rims will look good for a long time.
