Default What else do i need...?

Ok i've ordered a pair of Subframe Connectors that im picking up this weekend to weld in. I'm currently searching for a set of Eibach drag launch springs. What else would anyone recommend to firm up the suspension and chasis of my '04? Right now as the car sit's, when i launch it hard (normal) my boys (mustang owners) said the right front wheel is lifting off the ground due to the chasis twisting soo much. I confirmed with a local guy who races mustangs and he recommended the two items i already stated...does anyone else think i need more to stiffin the car up without caging it??

even a bolt in cage will help and I recommend it for that reason. You should also get some torque box reinforcements or you'll eventually severly damage your control arm mounting points. A set of adjustable shocks and struts will help your launches by helping your car transfer weight efficiently when adjusted for drag duty and they'll help the handling for street duty by setting them to a correct street setting. You should also look for an airbag to go inside the passenger rear spring (I think that comes with the drag launch springs).

You're eventually going to pop your intake with that 150 wet shot in all probability. Consider an HPS Hardball'r intake (www.hiperformancesolutions.com). It'll take a nitrous backfire according to the maker. I'd be real worried in general about blowing the tires off and subsequently smoking the motor with such a large shot of nitrous on an unprepared engine. Your call but it's free advice. I'd limit the shots to 100-125, up the injector size, and keep the fuel jet from a 100hp shot. Make sure you get a dyno tune for the 100+shots. You really need to keep the AF good when the shots get big or you'll risk major engine damage.

The Eibach drag launch springs come with the air bag. As far as popong the intake manifold on the 150-shot...yea eventually something will go but it's not like it will be spray every day...only at the track. Also as long as it's tuned well for that size shot and a safety switch it will be ok for awhile. But when something does go, thats when i'll beef it up more. I think eventually it will be caged...11.99 and faster @ MIR has to be caged so it will be soon

the big worry isn't just popping the intake.. it's the shards of plastic and metal that get sucked into the cylinders when that happens and usually trash the valves and ding up the pistons. It sucks to lose a motor because a crappy 200 dollar intake popped its cork.

Other than all that... some maximum motorsports LCA's and a panhard bar will help keep everything lined up and non-flexing. Makes for straighter launches. For the ultimate in rear grip, the MM torque arm package is the KING.
