Default Typhoon intake

Just was curious is the typhoon intake is as great as everyone makes it sound. Also would this be a good buy if your supercharging your car? Im getting a vortech s trim. Or would it just to be better to save my money? Thanks

I would not get the typhoon. Save up for a Trick Flow, P51, or an RR intake

I would recommend you do a LOT of research on this intake. Look for posts by people who own it and have it installed and have had it for a while. There is no greater teacher than experience. You'll find people all day long who say they've heard this or that about how bad something is. Look for people who really know how good/bad something is because they've experienced it.

Then decide if it's worth your money.

it cost us power in testing we've done. no bwaynoh. I'd go with a Hiperformancesolutions.com Hardball'R or a Reichard or a P51. Blowers love those things.

Okay... with the exception of this guy the above post applies... Anything R3d tells you about Stangs, you can take to the bank...

with 96-98 cars it's a sure bet you'll need a hood, with 99-04 cars it will have a very minor interference that can be fixed with simple shims if you're not picky about the rear of the hood sticking up a tad or you can get a 00R hood or a small cowl hood. Figure paint on it will cost 300 bucks or so.

send me 300 dollars and I'll send you 30lbs of scrap aluminum. At least you can easily recycle that.

if you port it and it's not one of the many that got out with a thin section under the thermostat then it'll flow just about like stock.

it's a 27 piece screwdriver that doesn't do what it was supposed to. Get the HPS... it's twice as much as that but it'll bring the flow with it.
