Typhoon intake manifold
Who's waiting for this beast to be released? For about $650 you can get the polished version that according to the article in May's 5.0 magazine will give you about 25 rwhp. I think I'm going to do this mod along with my cams (if I can get ahold of both) and then get them tuned together. I hope MT carries this!! Anybody know when it's suppose to be available to buy?

btw.. most of the gains for this intake are in the HIGH rpm's, the TQ numbers peaked at about 4400 rpms and the HP peaked at 6200 rpms in the magazine article. the test car did have aftermarket cams and heads.

I would do the swap if I saw some real numbers on a dyno! It loks really good thou. I don't think you will get 25hp out of it unless you had other mods to really bring the airflow out of it. Just my .02

exactly.. it is better.. and compare it to the previous aftermarket intake manifolds and how much they cost. for example the fox lake p-51 cost you $1300 for the kit and on a s/c GT it only gained 21 rwhp

The intake is an answer to a question. Not a general upgrade. You won't need it unless you have a blower or cams and head work.
I'll be slapping one on my 5.4 with the reichard racing plates as soon as possible. I'm hoping that the thing can flow enough to let the tq peak around 4K instead of 2500.
As a replacement for the stock plastic piece of explative, it's badasz for that right out of the box. I like the hi-performance solutions intake a little better but that's for guys that need shorter runners like strokers and blower cars. As soon as they come out with their 5.4 intake I'll pick that up.
If you use nitrous, you need one... or at least you will soon.
