iv stalled on posting this...for fear i will get eaten alive...
i would like to buy a mustang..but its just not a reasonable thing right now..
I am getting a 2006 Mini Cooper....
Its "pepper" white with black leather...
I will be putting black stripes on the hood..should look real nice...and would like to get black rims..but doubt it will happen..

It only has 7,500 miles and were getting it for only $15,000....KBB said 21-23...(the guy has 6 cars and never drives it and wants to get rid of it before he has to insure it another year)
My parents are being very generous and are allowing me only to pay half of it..
I test drove it today and was really suprised...it accelerated alot faster than my moms 04 v6 stang..it only weighs 2,400 lbs..
i was suprised that it didnt sound like a honda or something..not that loud gritty sound most 4 bangers have..it was really smooth...
It handles extremely well...like a go-kart...lol
Its very safe despite its size..
I'm 6 2 and fit very easily...i was really suprised to find it more spacious than the stang!
I swear on my life i will not "rice it out" i cant stand "tuned" imports..lol
My parents and I do have very good reasons on getting this car..it has been very thought out.. im excited...so please dont hate...lol
I still plan on hangin out here just as much as i have..i still love stangs!!!

P.S. ill get bout 35-40 mpg....

its still pretty fun to drive...just not as quick.
trust me i wish it was an S..but there just too expensive for me..lol

 

I like those things! And goodluck. I just hope you don't get in a wreck with a big SUV because you will be toast. That is the one problem with small cars and I don't care what the safety rating is. When you get hit by a 6000 lb truck driven by a Soccer Mom, that 2400 Mini has to absorb the same amount of energy.

Evidently the engine was a joint project between Chrysler and BMW and the Mini is sold through BMW. lol... I have never looked at one other than as I Pass by them on the interstate.

Hell.. I just always thought they were part of the goofy gimmick line that Chrysler came out with over the past 10 yrs.

Why the hell are you guys hatin on the guy because hes getting a nice car. PColav6, ure sixer may have cost half as much but I have driven one of those things and I know that those coopers will smoke the hell out of your car. I personally like the styling and Coopers perform quite well (i do agree it would be better if it was a S... but oh well)! Dont be hatin on him cus he is getting a new car!

 

You can find 99-00 GT's for under $10K all day long.

Mini is BMW....Just like Scion is toyota. Both companies developed a new, cheaper brand, but did not want it to dumb-down their other lines.

The coopers r very cool cars. I almost bought one, but they wanted too much for it. They hold their resale vaule, great gas mileage, an amazing interior. and pretty good stying. pluss they r quick I've never driven the base model, only the S but they r fun and they handle So well. A car doesn't have to have a big V8 or even alot of horsepower to be fun to drive. Have fun with it, u probobly won't hang with us at the drag strip, but if u do a couple things to it u will beat most Mustangs on the autocross track (I've seen it happen)

i heard that a cooper S beat a Porsche 911 round a track...

 

those mini's are really ment for rallying around the country side, my father used to work on them in spain back when he was in the Service. best thing is those things only need 250 hp to be quick as hell.

oh and just curious the mini's around here are ALOT more expensive then any mustang...so what was the real reason?
