Default Track opens Tuesday nite.

After 5 months of responsible driving I really need to abuse the poor GT.
This is the second date of the year and will be my first time out. When do all of your tracks open? I don't want to hear from you turds down south who's tracks never close.:bash:

I feel your pain man. I busted up my back and had to have surgery the summer I bought my GT. I had a full exhaust system laying in the garage along with uppers and lowers. It was killing me, I couldn't drive for six weeks. The week the Doc gave me the okay to drive I was racing.

That is very good for a stock 02 Gt. I think mine was 14.60's with the slush box.
I had to mod immeadiately or never show my face there again. There were Nissan Maxima's running low 15's and I could not allow a v6 sedan to be that close to me.

Nope, not yet. Im gonna be taking off my winter wheels/tires tomorrow and putting on my summer tires/wheels. I'll prolly head out there sometime this month to get a base run. Hoping tp hit high 13s. It'll be my first time to the track, so I'm anxious too see what it'll do.
At the end of the year with 4.10s, stage 1 cams, and just a couple small bolt ons, I'm hoping to hit mid/low 13s.

We shall see!

Track, what track. The nearest track for me is 350 miles away. The snow won't even be gone till May. I'm still driving around on Blizzaks.

Hey Blue...I went over to Gateway last Sat. I got five runs in..couldve had more. I managed to run a 2.149/60', 13.88/99.40 on my fifth pass(only one I managed to hook up on, still on original gatorbacks). The track was loose and cold..sun only came out for a few minutes.

Me and several club members are going Tues. the 4th of April and should have a few from FordsUnlimited as well. You coming on the 4th? Im taking the seats out for this one..

Tri State opened two weekends ago. Just northwest of Cincy. Ran 13.67@103.98 in the 1/4. That was on my 5th run.
Buddy of mine has 04 Cobra and ran a 12.46@114.
Stick race at Edgewater next weekend.

I wish I knew where the closest track was to me. When I used to live in TN there was one less than 15 minutes from my house. Now they're all at least an hour away. :wallbash:

Car is ready, Nitto's and skinnies on. Now if only I remember to switch the race tune on tomorrow night.
I got my tire gauge and helmet in the trunk and between a 1/4 and a 1/8 tank of gas. Spare and jack are out. I guess I'm good to go, hope it runs good.
I will report back on the evenings festivities. I will have to look for the punisher so I can line up with him and hand out a little punishment of my own.

It was a good night at the track, big crowd and good air. I guess my Nitto's are offically done, they would not hook for poop. Still It was fun to get out and race again. I did not get to see "The punisher" run, we where too far apart in line but I read that he got a new best. So congrat's on a new best. My car was running great and I would have gone 12.70's with traction but it was not to be. Some cheap bastard tried to coax a couple more trips to the track out his toasted Nitto's.:wallbash:
Best I could muster was a 13.06 @ 106.60 with a poopy 1.87 sixty foot. I ran six times and each sixty foot got worse all the way to a 2.09
I raced an 03 Cobra twice and had him beat the first run but I spun bad off the line a lost by a car length ( I tree'd him .060 to .389) I ran a 13.10 to his 12.78 if I'd hooked on that pass would have gone 12.80's I was cussing the Nitto's big time. Second race was about the same only I only got him by.100 off the line and had a 1.95 sixty foot so he waxed me by 5 car lengths. I beat a Vette and an older Camaro LT1 ( they are slow) and a couple of foriegn sedans that ran 17's. Why do people race slow cars?
I was a bit rusty on the tree with a couple of red lights -.005 and a -.105
the clean runs were .060 - .105 so not too bad. I have to order some MT drag radials tomorrow and put my electric water pump on the hopefully get another night of good air and run a new best. Lot's a nice looking Stangs were out tonite.
