what year was the roadster?
99 and 00 the pushed 240 out of thier little 3.2l, but in 01 and 02 they were pushing 315hp.
the Z roadsters were only 184hp in 01 and 02.
If it is an M yer gonna need more than an SC to beat it. if it is a Z roadster an SC will let you whoop up on him.
This is the way to beat the roadster, Jack the Ripper style.
Go get a bunch of rainbow stickers and every time you see that piece of **** slap one on the bumper. Eventually the guy is gonna start feeling he drives a *** car and develop a complex about it.
Boost it by making sure one day that he overhears you talking to some car guys about how nationally funded automotive research poll showed the Homosexual demographic greatly favored smaller 2 seaters such as the Saturn Sky, Mazda Miata, and especially the BMW Roadsters

jealous of a v6? there was probally over 40 v6 mustang's in my high school parking lot. 3 cobra's(1 04), 1 Mach 1, 7 GT's, 3 z28's, 1 rx-7, 1 GTO, 1 SRT-4, 1 M3, 3 Trans AM( 1 ws6) that was about it for respectable fast cars in the high school parking lot..but then again my highschool had 1100 kids and I live in North houston so ya v6's werent anything special.

he didnt know it was a six. my school was the same way. there was 2 or 3 bmw 760 one bmw 645, countless bmw 3 ad 5's 1 Rolls Royce 1 M3 the M roadster, and ur normal camaro. I was the only one with a stang untill the very last year.

Must have been a bunch of spoiled rich kids at your school man, our school has 4 V6 Stangs, 1 02 GT, and a trans am...everything else is either a ricer or some kind of hippy-wagon, oh or a lifted/muddy truck

I was about to say the same thing. Nothing hot in our parking lot. Me v6 another v6 and a v6 camaro, and a 89 gt. everything else is pos or a new camry or something, and trucks.

could you imagine a highschooler having a 03-04 cobra? seriously. Congratulations kid! you are 17 and have the nicest car you will ever own unless you REALLY busted your *** and got into a damn good college. Better enjoy it, cause chances are your parents will get tired of supporting your spoiled *** and cut off your trust fund then you can polish brass in bathrooms for hits of heroine. Have a good life!
When my kid gets old enough to drive, yeah, i plan to buy him/her a car. It will probably be a 30 year old Foxbody if i can find one that still runs without and frame damage and clean of rust. Then ill match him dollar for dollar into fixing the car up and we will restore it together. You bet your *** that kid will appreciate that car take good care of it.
people who buy thier highschool kids performance cars are just begging to have thier kid kill themselves or others.
there are always exceptions of course, all present company excluded of course, however, i doubt 5% of people under the age of 21 are responsible enough to be allowed behind the wheel of a 400hp performance car without eventually hurting either the car, themselves, or others.
Cobra's are to be kept, garaged, babied, and not given to kids. Same for camaro SS's, WS6's, or any other performance model.

Ya. I live in a really rich town. There was actually an article in the paper a couple years ago about kingwood highschool having over 20 bmws in the parking lot. But nah the kid that owns the 04 cobra is actually one of my best friends and hasnt wrecked the car once. He got the car with like 50 miles when it first came out. Comp orange cobra's are just plain hot.

Like i said, there are always some exceptions.
But you have to admit, 99% of the idiots in yer highschool would **** the thing up in a week or blow the engine racing it within a year.
Maybe yer buddy does treat it well, however, i still stand by my word that it is rediculous to give a 400hp car to a kid in highschool. Not only rediculous, but wreckless and irresponsible to give that kind of a car to somone who just learned to drive.
Oh yah, a cobra is definatly a performance car, but it aint no sports car. A corvette is a sports car. While cobras are fast as ****, they are not as refined as a real sports car.
