Default Headlights

I have a 2002 Mustang, and I'm try to find good long last headlight bulbs. I have looked all over the internet but every brand I found has a up and down side to it. The mustang uses a 9007 size bulb, and I don't have money for the HID kit so that's out of the question. I'm just trying to find a bulb that offers a blue, or bluish tint light that will last a long time, and that increases light output with out having to install wire harnesses. So please if you own a car and have tried any of these brands give your input. I have been looking a lot into the lumincs, and the PIAA Super Plasma GTX so I will really like to know more about those two.

sylvania silverstar
PIAA
Wagner
Luminics
Nokya
other (please name brand)
Thanks

Is there a reason for the "blue" bulb? Without going HID, you're fartin' in your hat. Get a set of Silverstars and save up for the HID kit. The fake blue bulbs will not be as bright as the Silverstars and your vison will be better at night.

I'll take safety over cool on this one!

Tuff is right. Get silverstars for now.

And btw... did your old bulbs burn out?

oh, and stay the hell away from luminics, especially if you have smoked headlights. trust me.

Yeah my stock replacement headlights burned out and I was just looking for some nice looking headlights. I'm sick of the dull yellowish white light that it gave out. I've been seeing a bunch of blue headlights and thought they looked nice so I was trying to find some bulbs that could mimic that.

I know you said you didn't have the cash for HID's as of now. But you really should check out this link: http://www.spikemotoring.com/product.php?id_product=24

It's up to you. But I'd just go to autozone and get stock replacements until you get more money.

Yeah, the really bright blue setups you have been seeing are probably the factory high dollar headlights or the HID kits.

I have 6000k in the headlights and fogs. My camera is kinda crappy and makes them look bluer than they are. I mean, they do have a tiny blue tint to them, but are mainly white. Can't give you advice on 8k... never used them.

mccain17: Get replacements for now, and save up for these:

-Headlights / Single beam

-Fog Lights

Thanks for the link but i do have a question on the HID kit that you showed me. It said that it is for low beam. I'm curious on the high beams, bc for the year model on my mustang one bulb is used for the low and high beam.

btw sick car.

Yea, the link I showed you was just the lows... I figured that's what you may want, since you're on a budget. If you want the dual beam kit (low & hi beams) then you would check out this link: http://www.spikemotoring.com/product.php?id_product=25 (however, at the time of me posting this, they are out of stock, and I have no idea if or when Spikes getting another shipment in?)

Whether you get single beam, or dual... it's still just one crystal looking bulb that replaces your stock halogen one.

I bought both my kits from Spike. Low prices and great quality. Maybe one of the guys on here that have him on facebook will ask if he's getting more dual beams anytime soon.

he's a tough salesmen to get a hold of, through the phone or with facebook. the last time i dealt with him he mentioned that his stocking and/or ordering software wasn't working properly (or maybe that was an excuse for the delay).

anyways, if you want HID's, he's the man to talk to. cheap and great quality with slim ballasts (if you don't think that's a big deal, go look up some ballasts for other kits and then figure put where you can double-sided tape them under your hood; smaller is better).

i have 8,000K bi-xenon (high/low beam) kit in my mustang. i went with 8,000K because my headlights are smoked and before then i had a 5,000K bi-xenon as well. i loved them both and color is preference really. me personally, i like to see the lights "heat up" when you turn them on so i decided to go with an 8,000K kit for the extra few seconds of warm up.

Did the 8k work better in smoked housing that your 5k? I have 6k in the headlights and foglights as of now... both are smoked.

And I think his site is doing okay now. I ordered my HID fogs from him about a week ago, and got them in 3 days. They didn't send an email or anything, so I was afraid my order hadn't went through... but then walking up my steps a few days later, I found the package sitting there. lol
