Black Box is nothing more than a colored wax with fillers. Once the fillers are gone, the swirls will return.

The only way to remove swirls from the paint is to polish them out, either by hand ( time consuming) or by machine ( porter cable or rotary) then apply quality last step product.

Proper washing techniques will also prevent wash induced marring.

always heard good things about the black box. heard it takes a long time to finish it, but if you want to show off your car for the weekend the black box is the way to go on black paint.

lol...so i KNOW its called a black box, but do you guys think it would work on a Charcoal grey? i have that 2010 Sterling grey...i heard this kit would work well for the black cars but i just wanted to know if you guys think it could work for me???

lol my color is such a dark paint that i just assumed it would work without showing black spots

Rovelli92...

I wouldn't do it. As I stated before on this thread, colored waxes are loaded with "fillers" that just hide scuffs and scratches.

I use Meguiar's #21 Professional Polymer Sealent on my Mustang.. it makes the metal flake in the paint really pop.

Yep. I actually made a thread about the TWBB a while back ago. It damn sure works for a short period of time. I purchased some Poorboy's products from Spike on here, and they last a lot longer.

Like DaGonz said, this is a colored wax. It is literally black. The polish, wax and detailer are all black. That's why it works so well momentarily. It fills in fine swirls and scratches instead of actually correcting them. It might work for dark forest green/dark blue cars, but I wouldn't try it on anything that isn't either a black car or close to being black.
