Black Box is nothing more than a colored wax with fillers. Once the fillers are gone, the swirls will return.
The only way to remove swirls from the paint is to polish them out, either by hand ( time consuming) or by machine ( porter cable or rotary) then apply quality last step product. Proper washing techniques will also prevent wash induced marring. |

always heard good things about the black box. heard it takes a long time to finish it, but if you want to show off your car for the weekend the black box is the way to go on black paint. |
lol...so i KNOW its called a black box, but do you guys think it would work on a Charcoal grey? i have that 2010 Sterling grey...i heard this kit would work well for the black cars but i just wanted to know if you guys think it could work for me???
lol my color is such a dark paint that i just assumed it would work without showing black spots |
Rovelli92...
I wouldn't do it. As I stated before on this thread, colored waxes are loaded with "fillers" that just hide scuffs and scratches. I use Meguiar's #21 Professional Polymer Sealent on my Mustang.. it makes the metal flake in the paint really pop. |
