Default 2000 Gt hood for my 1999 V6

Okay, I have this guy who's willing to sell me a silver 2000 GT hood with a hood scoop.

Will this fit on my 1999 mustang v6? It's a whole hood with the hood scoop and I could buy it for $250.

What a bargain right? I just need to know before I get raped again with spending money on **** that won't work for my car.

-Thanks.

yes will fit its the same hood with just an added hood scoop.

It may be cheaper just to by the hood scoop instead of the hood and scoop. All depends on how much paint and such costs.

never mind that would end up being cheaper.

just for a reference.

Nah, you could find just the scoop for $100. Then get it painted and put it on your existing hood. No point in buying a whole hood and painting it.

Theres some scooops on ebay for like 75 - 100 bucks that bolt down and dont use 3m double sided tape.

Although when bolted down it seems as though they like to dig into your hood paint should you remove them.

Yeah it's silver. Forgot to mention that. That's why I said it. I don't want to have to have someone drill holes in my hood and ****. I don't trust my car/painter/fixer/dude buddy doing it, and I don't want to go to a body shop, they'll rape me. $275 for the hood and hood scoop, silver, the guy said it was in good condition, but who knows. It's all the way in Mass, 1:45 from my house.

I don't know what I should do... I definitely want to test fit it before I actually give him the cash. How hard is it to take a hood off? 2 bolts on each hinge plus the cord thing?

What's somethings I should be looking for?

I might see if he will take my hood too as a partial trade. I don't have a use for it. I think he runs a used car parts place or something. I think he also might have the GT side scoops. I'm going to try and grab them too.

I really regret speeding, now I have a $100 parking on pavement ticket I have looking forward too that might hamper me from buying anything.

Wait, I'm a little suspicious.... Here's the picture:

I thought the hood scoops on the GT's came in the 2001-2004 GT models. I've been looking up 2000 GT hoods, and they all look like my stock v6 hood. I don't know if he posted the wrong year, or if he had a stock hood like mine and then just put a hood scoop on it and had it all painted, or something along those lines.

What do you think?

it'll bolt directly up. Enjoy. less than 5 minutes to swap it on. Bring a friend. I did it by myself but it's really really really hard to do it solo.

He probably just added the scoop on..

I'd get a 75 dollar ebay one with 5 bolts and drill holes in the hood and bolt it down, and have it sprayed black. You will love it!

I'm not into doing **** myself because I'm way too **** about **** and I'm a perfectionist. I just need to ask him some more questions like if he did buy the hood scoop and slap it on, if so then I'm knocking $50 off the price and I want to see if he will take my old hood too because I won't need it.

Just tried to talk the guy down form $250 to $200, and I'd drive down there and pick it up, NY to Mass (about 2 hrs) and he flipped out on me and was like "have fun trying to find another one at this price..." and hung up on me.

I lol'd
