It goes in the middle silly...y'know, right between the panes of glass...that way its preserved the best.

anyone know if you can tint your rear view and side view mirrors.. those would technically go on the outside.. so newedge was right lol.

Well for one, tinting your side mirrors is absolutely pointless. I can't even imagine what someone would be trying to achieve by tinting their side mirrors. Anyway, I think the tint would just blow off if it were on the outside of anything.
