Default HID...Worth it?!

Hi, i currently have some sucky halo projector headlights. i got them on ebay for 100 dollars, THEY SUCK. The lowbeams shine on the ground. The high beams are perfect. BUT of course they got water damage, and the chrome on the inside has cracked and all that jive. SO i had blackouts but lost one. NOW im stuck with the ugly things. BUT im gonna buy some smoked lights off of ebay. It says they have XENON bulbs, but im not believing it. BUT anyways will these lights be alot dimmer than stock headlight? considering they are smoked? I'm paying 100 for them. And if its worth it, LATER i will upgrade to HID! So tell me what all i should do guys! Thanks!

xenon is just a name they are average on brightness. IF you want real brightness and clarity go for the HID I love them.

Just buy an ebay kit. They're cheap and get the job done. I've had mine for a year and they still work.

HIDs are the ****. I have AM's 8k kit and I like them. They're kind of blue but not ricer blue or anything, cops don't notice it and I haven't been flashed at by anyone. My car being white doesn't help with the contrast..lol

They're some autozone tear drop foglights I bought a couple of years ago. Since I got HIDs they were pretty much useless so I tinted them (now they're totally useless. lol)

Used to look like this

They were pretty bright, useful lights but I had to fab up some L brackets to mount them to the stock mounting points, and since they were only mounted at the top they vibrated and were probably very annoying to anyone infront of me.

Just make sure you mount them far back enough so they don't stick out from the bumper.

also, do u think it'd be cool to leave the little lines thats in the v6 bumper? ive noticed they can break away easy but im thinking it'd be sweet to leave the 3 lines down in the fog light holes.. IF they wont cause mounting obstructions.

You'll have to take them out. They're gay anyway and should be removed in any case. Hah

I got mine from AM for free.

There's some ebay stores that sell dual beam kits for around $100, a lot of guys on 3.8mustang buy them and haven't had any problems so far.
