Default sponsorship....is it worth it?

I have an oppertunity to get my car sponsered but I'm not sure whether or not I should do it. I think they are offering 12k to sign and I will get all parts for any car at wholesale prices. The only thing is I think it may become a full time thing since I will have to go to the track and go to shows and all that. My life is already busy enough with school work and chillin with friends.

Also...if they require me to stick 50 stickers on my car then forget it.

Well, all I can say is be prepared for stickers and I hope you have another car to drive while the work is done on your car. It will be expensive, because to keep it, they will probably demand that big upgrades are continually done. If it were me, Id skip it. 12 g's sounds nice on the outside, but think of the time and all the pressure youll be under. Just not for me. I have my car to MY likings, not because of what someone TELLS me to do. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, madmatt has some good points. Bottom line is it would no longer be your car to do with what you wish. I say don't do it unless you want to.

I'm going to get more information about it. If it is an import thing then I am not going to do it. My bro was the one who got contacted and said that they wanted to sponsor his Audi A4 (stock) and then he told me about it and if I'm interested too.

If it is a partial sponsorship from sport compact pro than I would not do it, TRUE listen to me i used to work there They are located in Delaware and it is nothing but a scam do not give them your credit card number, you will regret it, If you know anything about them, they used to be called racer x and now the name has changed due to bankruptcy, what they due is tell you it is a 12k partial sponsorship you will never see 1 cent of the 12k they say they can offere you 1st: you have to go to at least 3 or 4 race or show events a year at your descretion. 2nd you have to wear there vynl sticker your color of choice somewhere on the outside of your vehicle, 3rd: please take a picture of your vehicle at these events, also did they tell you that you can get parts up to 55% off , well if they did it's bull **** try 15-20% at max, it will never be as cheap or close to as cheap as a websites price, when they tell you free shipping it isent you still pay for it included in the final price of the product! also if they told you that they can offer you a discount on instalation they cant. we never have! a couple more things if they told you the 78.00 charge + 9.00 shipping and handaling fee is for there legal drafting fee is also bull****, it is all done inhouse there is no lawyers involved in anything, and the money they say can be completly refundable in your taxes is also not true,
I AM NOT STOPPING YOU FROM SIGNING UP WITH THEM, I AM SIMPLY TRYING TO NOT LET PEOPLE WASTE THERE MONEY ON SOMETHING THAT YOU WONT EVER BENIFIT FROM!

sorry so long please e-mail me with more questions if you have any and i will try to answer all of your questions! Sal02een@aol.com

I had a partial sponsor from a seat company...The decals and extra that I had to do to my car were NOT worth it, so I turned them down...just make sure to read the fine print of what is expected, and how long you are under contractual obligation, and when the contract ends, what happens to the stuff installed....?

Look man this should be a sticky, There is no contractial obligation, there is no taking back parts, there is no rule saying you have to do anything, It simply means give us your 88.00 bucks and you get the same prices that you could get anywhere else. thats how we got paid 1 sale of 88.00dollars means $12.00 to us.

Hey lets put it this way you have a mustang! they don't even deal with any mustang stores, I tried to get them to have mustangtuning as one of there parts suppliers but that ran short.

Again there is no other discusions or ideas people might have, there is no other examples I have told you the scoop and all the insides, for more info e-mail me At

Thanks for the information. I was never excited about it anyways. 12k seems kind of bogus to offer for someone with a stock car. When I get more information I will post every word that is on their documents or quote what they say.

Man, there are always ways for people to get your money. I remember last week someone tried to get me to sign up to one of those refferal things where you supposedly get $100 for each person you bring into the program and once you get 3 people you get "promoted" and get $200 for each person to bring in to the program. But the thing is you have to pay like $400 to join and they say that it's possible to make your money back in a few hours if you try.

yea I want to get some chrome rims but I don't have money for it. Even if I did I would save it for a supercharger. I want my car to be done with all the mods I want to do on it before I work on any dress up items. Which is why I'm sort of eyeing this sponsorship thing...for 12k I can supercharge and even turbo charge my car and get a chrome illusions paint job and get chrome rims and interior dress up items.

But like 02stang said, it's very tricky and theres a chance it could be a scam.
