So I thought I would do a little comparison on my own. I bought Mothers Carnuba wax which is like 7.00 per bottle. I also bout NXT which is like 15.00 a bottle. I used one on one side of the hood and the other on the other side. Same results both sidesd look equally as good. Don't think I will ever spend the 15.00 again if I get the same results for 7.00.

 

You are comparing apples and oranges. Carnuba will get you about the best shine and is generally cheap. Though, I have some that was $40 a can. NXT is a polymer. The NXT will last a lot longer, the carnuba won't.

The wax you choose should also be based on how you use the car.l I use carnuba as the car is not a daily driver and sees only about 4k per year....and never winters.

There are a lot more impurities in cheaper Carnuba. P21S is about as pure as it gets. Stuff is like butter and leaves no residual. I fyou stick with stuff like Mothers amd Maguires, you are getting a quality product.

That zymol thing ain't a bad deal if you get free refills for life....I'd start taking the stuff out and selling it and get some refills hehehe

lol where are you buying the NXT for 15$? thats a ripoff...

i only use meguirs products...and NXT is the best so far. and i think it was under 10$ where ever i bought it.

i havnt tried anything else...but that zymol isnt a bad deal!

 

Waxes vary a lot. NXT is synthetic, its basically fake Carnauba created for durability, and wont give you as much shine as real Carnauba. P21S has bees wax in it and terrible durability. Everyone has different needs, some want sealants because of the durability, some want real waxes because of the shine. You can break it down even more and look at the color of the paint, light, dark, does it have flakes. Each wax will treat it differently.

Hey i got a tub of the poorboys wheel sealent and it really does last alot longer then regular waxing and polishing of the wheels for sure.

 

I did a really in depth write up on it. Search out "my new black bullits" My rims still look really good and its been almost a year, so I must've done something right.

I think duz all w/ a small buffer works pretty good (the blue stuff). I was told the key to shining up dark cars is to make sure to use a non-abrasive compound.

 

How are you going to remove scratches, paint transfer, swirl marks, etc. by using a polish or compound with no abrasives in it?

You are either misunderstanding, or whoever told you that doesnt know what they're talking about.
