Default New CD Player time.....

Well my stock 6 disc player is busted....and I need a new one. I used to be alot into car stereo, but theres all new stuff out now and I dont know which CD player would be best. I heard Alpie is one of the better ones, but I always wanted to put an Eclipse in my old stang. So maybe Eclipse vs Alpine? Or any other nice ones out there? Im lookin to get one real soon.

Eclipse always had nice stuff. Ive always been a fan of alpine head units and have owned 5 in my time. Basically you cant really go wrong with either choice. I havent messed around with any of the new stuff. You can usually find the alpine flip out tv model dva-310 or dva-300 for around 500 bucks used on ebay. Its a flip out tv with cd/dvd/mp3 and its a touchscreen.

Yea..my buddies cobra has a alpine touch screen in it .. he loves it.. I plan on going alpine.

Whatever you do, don't go clarion. As far as I know..they are overpriced junk.

Clarion used to offer great cd players but they have gone downhill. Basically anything before the mp3 units were great.

Ah I see. I dunno everyone around here went with clarion touchscreens or had the mp3 stuff.. and they either didn't like it, or it malfunctioned..

Most people that have the cash are going alpine.

Some are using sony, or pioneer, but.. if you got the cash, go with alpine.

I'm thinking for myself alpine - kicker, fosgate, or JL - eclipse/JL amp in the future..

Haha. Well, pioneer holds up fairly well, i installed one in my dads f150.. (for some reason the stock cd player was lazy and didn't want to play CDs)

But I just always thought alpine looked better then most..

I've got a Pioneer and I wouldn't go with anything else. I might try Alpine some day because of how great I've heard they are, and as far as other audio like the amp I have, I know they're a great company.

Pioneer FTW!

I really would like a flush mount double din DVD/CD with touchscreen. I want the alpine, but its over $700. Heres a link to this Kenwood I am looking at.....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KENWO...42315094QQrdZ1

Is this a good unit? Is the Alpine worth the extra $$$?

kenwoods pretty good as well. Im an alpine fan so obviously id spring for alpine. I dont see why you would go wrong with either one. downside to alpine is that their add-on NAV is ridiculously expensive.

Oh and if you get the Alpine blackbird which is an mp3/nav unit, you can use that to add on to navigation. Its a pretty neat feature.
