Default Anyone else HATE their stock CD player?

SOB!!! I hate this thing. It plays fine, but takes 20 minutes to finally eject a cd. Everytime I wanna listen to a new cd, I get done with the drive before I can listen to the thing. Pissin me off to be honest. Anyone elses do this? Did you fix it or just have a new cd player put in? My sis has an old pioneer cd player Im prolly going to install.

I replace my setup with an Alpine... and the iPod interface... so now all my tunes are on the iPod and I never need to shuffle disks again, ever!

I like the 6 cd changer, and the sound is pretty damn good for a stock radio, I dont listen to homie music so thumpin isnt what I need out of a radio.

I have the Alpine 9833 stereo with the Alpine KCA-4201 iPod interface... this thing is pretty cool as it allows you to use your stereo controls to control the iPod. I tied the whole thing into my Mach 1000 stereo... sweet, i'm also ordering XM which also ties into this head unit for those long road trips.

Best,

I hear you... the stereo is booming stock, but it didn't play mp3's... so I needed the change since i was tired of shuffing disks. My wife listens to country and sometimes 80's... so when she's in the car i hook up her iPod and away we go. For some reason she can't get into Godsmack.

I was looking at the Alpine units a few weeks ago...The Ipod songs and menus are displayed on the actual Alpine unit right so you don't have to look at the Ipod?

I know that's was pissed me off... the Mach 1000 doesn't play MP3's but they have a cheaper model that does?! Guess this didn't change with the Shaker 1000...

Yes that is correct...

I forgot to mention that using iTunes to lable your tracks will display the track names, artist too... play lists function and the whole time it keeps your iPod charged as well. I have only had it say "No Magizine" a couple times, but I pretty much always leave it connected so I just unplug it and plug it back in and it's worked, hassle free.

I will probably get the Alpine also. Has anyone used the RF one that attaches to the top of the Ipod?

A buddy of mine has one, and when it works he hates it... He's now getting a MP3 changer added to his Altima. The Alpine/iPod setup wasn't in his budget.
