Been thinking about a supercharger now for a while and finally got off my lazy **** and made some enquiries. I`m not going to bother with bolt ons, my car is stock so **** it.

Bascially a Paxton Novi 1200 fitted and set up comes in at £4800 (British pounds). Thats about $7800.
Personally I think thats a good price but its still a ******* lot of cash for what is, really, only a bit for a car. .

The jury`s out on this one for the minute. 2 months wages for a blower? hmmm. Kenny Bell won`t import stuff here so he`s out. The other make mentioned was Vortech. I don`t know **** about this stuff guys so bear with me. Looks like google will be my friend tonight

$7800 for a paxton blower. Damn that's expensive. Vortech superchargers are great superchargers. I have one and I pieced mine together for under $2000, but then again you are in Scotland, so I'm sure things are a bit harder to get. Try looking at some of the other forums and see if anyone is willing to ship international. You could save lots of money buying some things used and piecing stuff together. It's not all that hard. Check out superchargersonline.com. They are a great resource

Cheers ma man. I`ll check it out. I`d buy no problem but getting it set up would be my biggest problem and it might end up costing the same or more but with a shitload of hassle. I live in the sticks so a Scottish hillbilly so to speak. Locals still point at aeroplanes. I was hoping to drive to a big city to a specialist and give him the car for a day ot two and leave with more power.
Still, its worth looking into. Its a bit of a bastard keeping the stars and stripes flying in a country where American cars are really rare and are generally looked upon with curiosity. BUT....Thats why I bought the ******

Keeko you crack me up man. I must say, your thread really makes me realize how much we take for granted the parts availability over here.

I wouldn't hesitate with the Vortech if the price is better. Have you checked on Procharger?

At least I provide entertainment if nothing else. . Procharger new is out of the equation although there is a second hand one on fleabay UK.

Like I say. Give car to garage. Get job done. Hand over money and drive home is my plan.
I dont even know what else would be needed with that thing.

**** if you bought that procharger, piecing the rest of the parts together is a breeze. Install on that would be easy since you don't need to tap the oil pan or anything. Basically bolts on and I'm sure you could do it. I didn't really have much mechanical skills and I installed my Vortech. I started off just buying the Vortech head unit first then looked around for all the necessary parts. superchargersonline.com is where I got a lot of the misc. stuff new.

Nitrous floats my boat and would work out a third of the price but I prefer the idea of being blown...............by my neighbours wife. Nah. I want the supercharger Bubba.

Man, I`m in enough **** already. Split with the wife as I drilled some chick from work so getting caught taking pics of the woman across the road wouldn`t do me any favours in my quest for forgiveness, reconciliation, more cash and a s/charger. I`d end up on the national sex offenders register.

She`s some bit of fluff though, I`ll see what I can do

Yes.
I wonder why it is so natural for people to dislike France... then I remember I really don't care
