Alot. I think in stock form there good for over 500hp. Just crank up the boost, is that right r3dn3ck?

sorta...

the shortblock is good pretty much as far as you can keep fuel and a good tune in it. I've personally seen more of them cranking out 650rwhp than I'm comfortable with. Add a shot of nitrous to the boost and you've got cars making up to 800rwhp on the street.

That said, the standard head and cam mods really pay off on the termy's.

I wouldn't go much over 550rwhp on a 03/04 if you plan to street drive it. All those 650rwhp cobras I know... yeah they're in the shop as much as on the road. Stop at 550 and you can enjoy reliable long lived power.

More later... wife hollering at me.

Most say that 650rwhp is the max. Then you see the random turbo guys with stock blocks pushing 800hp and makes you wonder. But we will see how long those motors hold up to that amount of boost. For now 650 is max. Why are you asking anyhow?

your stock motor with a blower and some supporting mods will make 400rwhp and be fine. You dont need to swap in a stock motor from a cobra, plus all the other **** it takes. There a bunch here pushing 400+ on stock motors.

I was talking to a guy that had a kennebell with 9 psi..No intake or exhaust stock motor just supercharger and it lasted him 10K miles and then the bottom end went out! I think im going to build a 4.6 from the ground up! I think thats going to be my best bet!

remember its gonna cost about 6 grand for a built short block installed. thats the high side quote. then its gonna cost another 5 grand for a supercharger setup. then the problems start coming transmission, rear end, FUEL DELIVERY and tuning. good luck

do what everyone else does CHARGE IT TILL YOU BLOW IT.

Do it now....... or later. The built lower end is a good thing. Without it, its just a time bomb.

The more power you make, the more risk you take. If it were me, and I had a Cobra that I cared about, I would stop at 550. I would also have multiple tunes, so would most likely spend most of the time driving with some timing pulled and the a/f richened up a bit....say 500 hp. That way I could still claim 550, but could drive with a better piece of mind.

under no circumstances should you tie yourself to a dyno number anyway. Just work the car till it feels like you want. Remember... we race cars, not dynos.

depends i know one at 650rwhp on stock internals and another twin turbo at 800rwhp daily drive on stock internals. so it just depends.

with a good tuner i would feel safe at 600rwhp.
