maybe i'm alone in this but does anyone else find it odd that we've invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and now we're making arms deals with the country all the hijackers came from? shades of another past deal:

1 - People hate us. They hate our way of life, they don't respect our freedoms, how we treat women, and they want us all dead.
2 - Our foreign policy's are directly responsible for 911 and it all stems from our relationship with Isreal.
3 - We let them do it. We have open borders.
Guys, we have two options....either keep America America, or allow it to turn into a Muslim state. The Muslims have declared war on this country. The good news for us is that all the Muslin countries don't get along because of a little black liquid called oil....and oil equals power.
The truth be known, we are in Iraq now because of Iran IMO. We are selling arms, because of Iran.

good point and i agree...i always thought it was more about iran in the big picture...the soldier in me recognizes the clear strategy...lets stop thinking about 9-11 and some silly wmd u.n bs and look at the simple truth of our actions by looking at a map...look at the what the "hunt for bin laden" has gotten us :

i never agreed with us being the worlds police and iraq just wasnt a tactical threat to US...it makes a great springboard sure...but i'm not comfortable with us being the israeli's attack dog...besides...why pretend the UN holds so much weight?

we needed a place to base operations. Iraq had all the things we needed.. a mistreated populace, chronic poverty, a president with a price on his head, and a location smack dab in the middle of the enemy's heartland (geographically speaking).
We thought, hey we'll topple this guy install some goons of our own choosing, and be in friendly territory from which we can launch 20 years of assaults into countries that are too afraid of us to ask us to stop, or stupid enough to goad us into really fukking them up.
Of the 3 appearant goals, only 1 was a total failure. We're still launching attacks on countries we're not at war with. They're still stupidly lead and filled with cowards and winers.
Our relationship with Israel is only giving the sand worshipers a rallying cry that they can put a local face on. I say we give them Israel and take Kuwait, UAE, and South Eastern Iraq give that to the jews to call home and see how they like them apples.

good points! I think it's funny that if any of the current presidential candidates made any of the above points they'd be thrown out of the race, but in fact they are true.

Lets say we just **** off and quit sucking saudi's dick and helping them with whatever they want and they just cut us off from thier oil.
So the gas jumps to 7 - 10 bucks a gallon.
Welp, trucking and freight will get WAY expencive, and so will the stuff they ship because the supplier needs to jack thier prices in order to make any money off thier goods in order to cover shipping cost.
next think you know yer going from about 70 a month in gas to 185. That is a significiant amount, of course, everything in america will be a hellofalot more expencive and you have less money to spend on it.
businesses start to fail, people cant stay employed, debt runs rampad as the IRS and Banks managed to *** rape every american they can while they get flushed down the toilet.
So, Americas economy is in the shithole, there are less tax dollars to fun all the govt programs, the middle class will be about toast, and yer gonna have the very rich and the very poor. not much middleground. Anytime that happens there starts to be the assault of those of "want" and those of "Have". Good ol revolution time!

THe US is the big puppet player in the world. We **** with them. We support those who are in our best interest and the SECOND they offer nothing to us we DROP them. And im GLAD we do it cause i have a job, i have a house, i can support my family. I would rather see 100 of those bastards over there die of hunger than see my son miss a single meal.
And so we go over there, supply guns to somebody one day then shove a bomb up thier *** the next. It keeps the economy going in america and as long as america is dependant on oil i support every last action we take there that keeps our gas prices down and economy moving.
You gotta understand, this is not simple trade. This is the lifeblood of our nation, we are in a passive-aggressive semi-nonmilitary waged war against the rest of the world of a depleting resource of FINITE amounts. We need it, and dammit were gonna get it any way we can.
Think about it like this. You are on a liferaft with your Wife, Son, your Neighbor, a work aquaintance, and somebody you barely know. You dont have enough food to last and you know it. What are you gonna do? Yer gonna kick that ******* you never met off the boat, then work yer way up with your aquaintence, then your neighbor, because when it boils down to survival you have to do what it takes to take care of your own.
anyone who thinks there is NEARLY enough oil for everyone is a fool. Untill we can get ourselves to where we are no longer dependant on oil we will continue to play these games and make the middle east dance to the beat of OUR drum weather they like it or not and regardless to weather they even realize it.
America realizes the issue with oil. Our government is doing what it has to to take care of us. **** the others.
