Default Pictures of my black rims!

I painted my rims black, and I could not be happier with the outcome. 10 hours of hard work, and about $55 (Had to buy jack stands).

The car is pretty dirty right now, but I want to give it a week or so before I wash it to make sure the paint is completely cured and whatnot (Its been 2 days).

During this summer I'm looking to get the car tinted, get a mach 1 grille delete, and a catback exhaust (still deciding which I want).

Then later on, I'm looking to get gears. Then way later on I would love to get long tubes with shorty h-pipe, but that isn't happening for a while.

EDIT: Oh, and I just realized I do need to get around to tinting the 3rd break light soon.

Hey man the rims are looking good. I like the blacked out look on almost any car. Just wondering what kind of paint you used as I'm looking to do the same to my stockers, because I need my rims repaired.

Thanks!

I actually used black engine enamel that I got from autozone. it was duplicolor I believe. I did a lot of research on what works best, and that's what most people said works. They also have duplicolor wheel paint, but I hadn't seen enough people's opinions.

Alrighty thanks. I'll try out the engine enamel stuff because it seems it would work better.
Let us know how well it stands up.

You have a slight advantage painting those wheels.

They have a hub cover.

If i were to paint my saleens, when i used an impact socket, it would scratch some paint off removing the wheel, but looks like you get by scott free!

Looks nice!

Actually I have the painted saleens and they aren't that bad. I only get scuffing when I use the key lug nut because it has a rough surface.

Actually looks pretty good! I am going to have to do that with my 03 Cobra's...the black chrome finish is completely screwed up, so I am going to just prep and paint them.

Yeah really, I've got to lower mine too. You can't notice it much till you look at pictures.

Looks so much better. You have come along way since the v6 with side view mirrors that were screwed on with wood screws.

Man, I saw a red new edge with the same wheels today. Had to come back to this thread to see if you lived in my area, haha.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Spike- wasn't sure if anyone would remember that. Now that I'm so into cars I can really laugh and think to myself "what the hell were they thinking."

I forgot about lowering it.. that's definitely on my top 3 now...
