But are you going to say 0-60 time, 0-100 time, the gearing ratio, and the HP/TQ rating doesn't show that 10x better? I was just saying that top speed isn't a good way to determine power. Give me a 0-60 time and then it's different.

Look at Pass Time for example. What do they always ask? What's the gear ratio? Block size? Not what's the top speed.....

Because that is a show about drag racing. I don't even care about 0-60 time bullshit means nothing to me as I would rather know what it runs in the 1/4 mile.

The whole statement can't be right about the veryron and taking another 700hp after passing 100mph. There are cars that can hit over 200mph without 700hp for one thing. The ZR1 is at what 625ish hp and it tops 200mph and the Mclaren was right around the same horsepower and did it. You do need the power, but the aerodynamics are a big factor as well.

i know my POS hit 173 MPH but i ran out of gear (4R70W + 3.73's + 26" tire + slipping converter) and bounced the limiter. a whippled cobra was well on his way to a 19x pass before a turn came up so he let off at 178. mustangs are brinks for aerodynamics. the autobahn is cool when there isnt traffic. i rarely went passed 150 with my car i usually kept it at a good 100-120 most of the time...i consider this cruising speed. i think moving back to the states and driving the speed limit may pose a problem with my new driving habits.

power, weight, gearing, and aerodynamics are a huge factor in relation top speed. Just because the speedo says 200 doesnt mean that **** will hit that speed i feel that is only for looks and for dumb chicks that you pick up.

Same here... I get the stare down around here... and when they see that I'm a girl, they have to act like they are some kindof badass or act like a big dousche. I'll have Ford Festivas shoot off at the light (as much as they possibly can I guess) like they are some sort of badass. It's amusing though.

you must be talking Kph... 3.73's and a 4R70 wont let a mustang go that fast.
