Green Screen FTW!!!!!!!!!!
So, i got my greenscreen in, i was feeling sick the past few days so i just finally got around to playing with it.
Im still working out the kinks in photoshop in creating a background that has a floor, as well as removing the hues that a greenscreen can put out. Im getting it nailed in though.
Too early to really show good work with the setup so far. I did a mockup of Jaegs in a studio like setting in front of the screen this morning, but it was just all background, no floor so it doesent look natural. I did another one with malibu where i warped the background into having a floor and the effect works well. Keeping at it though.

King, that was just a 5 min quickit to show the setup. lol. Im actually figuring out ways to bend and fold layers into a 3d perspective for the virtual backdrops. Easier than it sounds. lol
this stuff is all remarkably cheap. The entire setup, including the Chromakey Green screen, the backdrop stand (which when fully extended is 9ft x 9ft), plus the 2 flashes/umbrellas/stands, a hotshot pc flash adapter, 2 pc cables, and carrying cases for all of it ran a grand total of $240.00
then again, it is cheap because it is not professional studio quality, but it is enough to get the job done thats for sure.

1) copy later from background
2) set the layer to "MULTIPLY" instead of "normal"
3) hit ALT and click on the mask button in the layer panel
You should have a black quare next to the pic in the layer
4)Select go to BRUSH, make sure it is white, use a faded tip not solid ip, set opacity to 30% then paint the areas you want to darken. Then rather than just darkening an area with shades of black it will actually paint the image darker and retain the color and not screw up the dynamics.
After that, decide if you need to use the burn any more, if so use it lightly with a small brush to get that final touch
That Masking book i got has some pretty sweet techniques.

Honestly, I've only used a mask for school projects where it's required. I'm used to using photoshop minus the masks. Anyway, might look into the warp tool, it's great for bending and stuff. The burn idea was just a quick thought.

masks are awesome, it is just a simple extra step on the whole layer thing. now i gotta figure out how to group things and such.
I played with the warp a bit, im clumsy at it. if i can figure out how to fo more horizontal adjustment points beyond the top upper and lower middle and bottom, i think it would work pretty good.
I had decent success with the perspective adjustment, just select the bottom 1/3 and pull it our towards you, problem is it has an angle in the back, so the warp will probably work better once i learn more about it.
