Default Switch's Photography Thread

Figured I might as well make my own thread to post everything in instead of starting a new thread every time I take the camera out again.

I shoot with a D60. My current lenses are the 18-55mm VR and the 55-200mm VR.

Thanks! Also, that's a good idea. I'll put it in my sig.

Pictures always seem to look better when they have a border around them.

Agreed. It helps the viewer actually see what's going on within a photo. Minus the border, your eyes put more effort into seeing the borders and that little extra focus makes it harder to see the in-depth colors and textures....
...if that makes sense.

Sweet pics man. The colors in the pics are amazingly vibrant. Do you do much post editing?

Yeah, I have to brighten up the pictures a lot cause my camera doesn't perform well in high ISOs. Then I just push the vibrance up a bit.

Yeah, that raw editor kicks some serious butt. How user-friendly is lightroom?

Lightroom is extremely user friendly. I can't even explain how easy it is to use. I do all my adjustments in under a minute for every picture.

It has all the raw editor functionality plus a bit more. Play with it for 5 minutes and you'll fall in love.

Haha, isn't it awesome! It only gets better when you check out some of the plugins they have for it.

As usual, the pics can be viewed in high resolution at my web site. These pics were a pain in the *** to even get semi-decent cause they were all in direct sunlight, so no bitching about how it's not as high quality as they usually are.

Sick dude, just sick.

EDIT:
I've been meaning to ask, but do you have any tips for taking pictures of yellow stangs? My problem is that nothing really reflects off of it so a lot of my pictures of it come out "flat" and it's like the paint has no depth.

um 2V power, we need to have a re-match at OSW when we both get sticky tires.

Don't take them in the sun, go to shady areas. Behind buildings, parking garages, etc.
Switch, sweet pics dude. I'm really jealous of all of you bastards with dark cars that show up good in sun
