Default The Official WEC/UFC/MMA Thread - *Spoilers*

This thread is meant for all professional MMA fight and fighter talk..

I don't know if any of you guys are into it, but I sure as hell am. had to make this thread

Do you guys have a favorite fighter? weight class? whatever! share your opinion

I'll start with UFC 113 Machida- Shogun 2 - warning spoilers ahead

who watched this? the main fight card was cool...good prelims too. kimbo doesn't seem quite cut out for the UFC. I really don't like Matt Mitrione regardless of how good he gets. ****** retarded ****
..and did you guys see the post bell punch that Paul Daley caught Josh Koshcheck with? WTF was that ****?

but the main upset (or was it an upset?) was the brutal knockout Shogun Rua delivered to Machida 3:35 into the first round. Rua displayed some serious skills saturday night..He received a well deserved belt IMO, and I'm a Machida fan. makes me wonder who's next?

anyways the next Ultimate Fighter coaches are gonna be Josh Koshcheck and my favorite, the great Georges st. Pierre. should be an awesome season, can't wait for that fight.

speaking of UF coaches fighting, Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans are FINALLY going to ******* fight! end of this month.

anyone follow WEC too? Jose Aldo vs. Urijah Faber. holy **** Faber was outclassed as hell. Jose Aldo is on a different level. he's without a doubt the top pound for pound fighter in the WEC. kid is mean.

I know some of you guys watch this stuff, post up!

Just read that Paul Daley got kicked out of the UFC for good. oops..lol

Dana White said 'I don't care if he fights in every fight in the world and everyone thinks he's the best pound for pound fighter in the world. he will never EVER come back to the UFC, he's done.'

Kimbo got the axe as well. If you read about his fight they say it was very one sided, but I found it on the web, Kimbo hade like three real good take downs in the first and looked liek he could have won the round. Second round was ****, and looked as he gave up after the leg kicks he couldn't check. Rua knew that it was over and the ref didn't have the chance to stop him. Did you see Machida's eye after? Damn thing was almost shut already, as for who's next I thought the winner of Rashad-Rampage was.

Well i love the UFC. Starting to get ino the WEC to. Those f'ers are small and fast.

Watched the Fights this weekend. I am a Machida fan, still think he lost the first fight with Rua. He got knocked the F out. I think he did not look like his normal self. I think Shogun may hold this belt for a long time.

I wish it was koscheck would be the one out of the UFC i hate that idiot. I cant wait till GSP demolishes him.

I am fine with Dana booting Daley for life. We all know Koscheck is a ***** but you can go at him after the fight.

185 and 205 are my favorite divisions.

And yes Silva pisses me off to with his crap... at first it was funny but after 5 rounds its fing gay

Oh yeah that Silva fight was reeeediculous. I lost a LOT of respect for Silva that night. I mean you could argue he just needs someone that can actually challenge him, and he was bored. but that doesn't justify that kind of behavior IMO.

Winner of Rampage vs. Evans fights Rua? That should be interesting. I'm curious to see how they fight at the end of this month. I haven't seen either fight in a while..hopefully they're top notch and put on a good show.

I did hear about kimbo getting the axe. Dana had nothing but good things to say about him, but he's just not cut out. I mean he looked phenomenal in the first 30 seconds of the match...after that he just got tired and pretty much gave up.

Agree totally about silva!

I think Rua could take either of them. I am pumped for the Fight as well. cause Rampage and Evans hate each other.

Out here in New mexico we are hoping to get a UFC event. We have Jacksons gym out here and alot of people including GSP (at least he was for his last fight) Are fighting out of his gym.

GSP has not had a real challenge in a while, but you don't see him acting stupid in a fight. It's called being a pro, something Silva don't know about. Him moving to 205 would be best, their is about 5-6 off the top of my head that would beat he ***. The guys that give him problems are wrestlers and 205 has some good ones.

SILVA IS THA ****.... Kimbo never was cut out for the UFC, and I definitely can't wait for Rashard and Rampage to fight...

I just got a trainer for Jujitsu and Muay Thai... I'm trying to start amateur fighting here in the next year or so... Can't wait to start that

Kimbo's legs and cardio have left him unable to perform well in the UFC. I'm sure he'll still train at American Top Team and end up somewhere else though..

GSP has began to lack in his performance. Lay and pray, amazing.

Anderson Silva is still quite possibly #2 as best pound for pound fighter in the world. Just because he dicked around and didn't perform up to the standards everyone expected him to doesn't mean he can't easily knock someone out, or tap them out, if he'd ever go to the ground.

Rua deserved that win. I'm a Machida fan, but damn, Rua showed up for that belt. White still says he isn't sure if the winner of the Rampage/Evans fight will meet with Rua, he also said Silva going up to 205 is a possibility, he's got two more guys in his weight class he hasn't beaten. Belfort is one of them.

Also hoping Bisping gets KTFO against Dan Miller. **** Bisping.

The Evans / Rampage fight card looks pretty good...

Also, hoping Carwin KO's Lesnar. **** Lesnar.

I know some people are upset with him for what he did and I don't agree with it but I don't like him any less because of it. He was just having fun.. Give the guy a break.

Carwin vs. Lesnar is going to be like watching transformers fight LOL. I'm really stoked for that.

and I thought Anderson Silva said if he won his last fight, which he did, he would drop down to 170 and fight GSP? I couldve sworn I heard that.

and yes, **** Bisping

I think the UFC itself is keeping Anderson from actually dropping. Anderson has talked about going up, and down weight. It's a toss up for either one really, but now that his buddy Machida has lost the belt, and he's already experienced going up weight, he may very well just go up.

TBH I think Anderson would school GSP in a thing or two. The guys strong as ****, and after weigh ins would gain his weight back like nothing, his stand up is still something to be reckoned with, and he does have very good submission capabilities.

Rua, however, would be a much more interesting fight. Both are willing to stand and throw, Rua likes to create a fast paced fight, and Anderson loves to stand as well.

Lesnar may be a massive beast, but he hasn't done much, really.

He TKO'd Mir, and Couture. He's lost to Mir. Went to a decision with Herring.

Wait until he's got to meet a guy like Cain Velasquez who beat Rothwell, and who KO'd Minotauro Nogueira. Or he's got to fight Minotauro, etc.

Size is a major factor, his strength is amazing, but his technique and his experience is what is going to kill him.

Well Grady Brewer who won the show The Contender trains there and owns the gym. One of the trainers is this bad *** guy who won 4 Tough Man competitions here in Oklahoma and isn't even allowed to compete in them anymore because no one thinks he can be beat. He is going to train me on Jujitsu and Muay Thai.... Hopefully I'll have a balanced stand up and ground attack.

I love the UFC stuff. Kimbo should sick to muggin' people on the street and bars.

I don't like Jackson, so I hope Evans can pull out a KO on Mr. Mouth

Besping, is a British douche pickle!!!

Lesnar will meet his match with Carwin.

Matt Hughes is still my hero cause he fights with "HEART"

PS "Big Country"

If it was a one fight then I would let it go, but how many times did that make? He is joke and needs his *** beat.

Carwin will get his *** handed to him. Lesnar is a better wrestler, more speed, and more raw power. Carwin has good hands, but Lesnar will throw him around like a rag doll.

Im sorry, man, but judging from everything that you've posted in this thread, Im gonna have to go ahead and call you ignorant when it comes to talking about MMA.

You do realize Carwin has wrestling capabilities as well and has won championships for it, not to mention Carwin has submission capabilities. He'll weigh in at 265 and probably walk around at about 290 or so on fight day.

He also has finished every opponent he has faced, in the first round, including Frank Mir. The guy is no slouch.

You're also overhyping the **** out of Lesnars wrestling. Yes he's won championships. But let's not forget he got thrown around like a bitch when he had to go up and wrestle Steven Neil.

Lesnar actually has to rely on wrestling and brute force, but whats gonna happen when that brute force is matched by a stone head and a very good submission game?

Shane Carwin NCAA div 2 < Brock Lesnar NCAA div 1. Why would Carwin need to wrestle in div 2 if he was that good. Carwin's biggest fight was against Mir, so he hasn't been tested any more than Lesnar. Carwin has better stand up than Lesnar, but Lesnar IMO will be able to take him down and beat him like he did Mir at UFC 100. Lesnar also cuts weight to make 265, so neither will have a size advantage.

Anyhow, you little douchefuck, when the **** did I ever mention kimbo being my favorite fighter? ******* moron. Second, Im willing to bet the only reason you like Brock Lesnar is because you watch alot of wwe, or some ****, while you think about the glory days of wrestling, in your N.W.O. shirt, and whitey tighties with the **** stains. Hey, dont be too hard on yourself, you're from kentucky.

I have nothing against Lesnar. I kinda like him but I just think Carwin will win the fight unless Lesnar does take him down and gets side or full mount. then i think Lesnar can control the fight. I will root for Carwin though. I just like his style i think he is all around better than Lesnar.
