OFFICIAL Winter Beater THREAD!!!
This is the thread to post your winter beater pictures! Obviously this is for the cold weathered members or those who just use their mustang as a "weekend" car. Post anything you like about your beater and how good/bad it is. Id like to see what everyone's other ride is.
Yes we know you southern people drive your car year 'round and dont have to store it, so save making fun of us or ill smash you in the face with a yellow snowball.
Heres me... a 1987 dodge ramcharger. 318ci 5.2l v8. 4wd, cruise, power windows, power locks, rear moon roof, ****-a-dellic red interior with wood grain. I honestly dont know how many miles this has. It just says 77,xxx. I figure its 177,xxx but could be 270,xxx. A mechanic at work bought it from work as a trade in and fixed it all up and drove it for one winter. it sat most of the summer with a dead starter so the starter was replaced and I scooped it up. its not that bad of a truck but it leaks a little power steering fluid. I think it leaks a little brake fluid too. truck is an absolute gas hog unless you use cruise control. Just passed emitions with flying colors! the bottom half of the truck is rust so i spray painted it flat black. it sure looks a lot better than it does in these pictures!

Finally, a worthy post! Hey, thats pretty cool for a beater. If i had that, ive got some import friends that would love it. i sure have a lot of friends that could make it fast. ive got a buddy who has a 97 civic - usdm b18c block, jdm b16a bfully built head, precision sc34 turbo, and that engine just built to the wall. does 340 at the wheels with 12 psi, and 385 at 16 on 93 oct. and 400+ on 20 pounds. it runs 11.84 @122
its pure insanity.

I am not quite that high in numbers, but i am on 9psi, Stock motor with 153k, My car does 13.9's @ 101-103 range,
To me i wanted something cool and to have somrthing in both worlds import and domestic. I know the motor has alot of miles on it but it's all about the tuning 12.1 afr all the way across the board tuned with safc2 And plx m-300 wideband 450cc injectors tunnertoys missing link car throws no codes and i love whipping up on all the swapped hatches. It's so funny they are like damn a turboed accord

My winter beater is a company supplied, 2005 Chrysler Mini Van. Yup, the chicks dig it....and it's free, which is the best part. I have a 2006 Magnum on order, but prolly won't show up until the Spring. If the weather is bad, like today, I take Mona's Suburban.
I would love to have a Wrangler! Been thinking about it actually. I think by next winter, I would like to find a really nice Wrangler Sport with some nice rims, M/T tires, a winch on the front for under $15k and I will be set. Give my wife something fun to drive too.

Its basically an integra GSR motor with a Civic Si head swapped on it, I believe for the better compression ratio you get because of the combustion chamber size, but I could be wrong. Damn, I used to want a turbo honda so bad. Id still love to have one, but we all knew that already...

People who drive their mustangs in the winter in Iowa should be prosecuted for mustang abuse!!! the salt and sand just kill the paint.
My winter "beater" is a 2000 F150 XLT with a 5.4 engine, tow package, extended cab. yeah, it's 2wd but it does alright in the snow. Just gotta stay out of the deep stuff.

Hell yeah, we had a winter storm this week, and I drove my car through the rain, snow and ice, and freezing temperartures fishtailing and all. Driving to work which is about 25 miles aways @ 20-30 m.p.h. i bought my car to drive it, not to put it in storage because of a little bad weather.
