Default Is Ebay a good idea

I want to get projector head lights but it is much cheaper on ebay then it is on this site. I am wondering if it is a good idea to order them off of there. As you can see I have never ordered anything from ebay before so i am just looking for some insight

I have purchased many things from ebay make sure you get a Paypal.com account and always pay with credit card so if the seller does not ship your item you can let your credit card company take care of it. The worst carrier to get insurance on an item is United States Postal Service. I got an item all banged up and since it was over $50 they requirred original ship reciept I told them I was the reciever and they said thats their rules. I said you guys are bastards trying to make a few pennys more since the sender has to send it through mail. On top of that they have to ship it somewhere else for inspection so you are looking at a couple of weeks for insurance claims. While I was there I notice this fat lazy USPS worker throwing boxes into a bin like she was playing some b ball. I said to myself and you wonder why your fat :cussing:

Well.. I ordered some Steeda Sport Springs off ebay for my car, that'll be the last time I ever buy a used part from ebay. They weren't Steeda Springs at all.. they were the factory springs painted blue and a coil off the WRONG end was cut off. I did pay with PayPal but they will not do anything with products that are bought opened and sold AS IS. The guy was an ******* also so that didn't help the situations much. After that I stopped buying stuff off of ebay for my car and started buying it here and never have regreted it. Don't get me wrong though.. I've bought a ton of stuff off of ebay used, but I'd rather buy stuff brand new out of the box for my car that way I know I have everything that's suppose to come with it.

It all comes down to what you think is a good deal and who would you rather deal with if something goes wrong. There is nothing wrong with parts from ebay but look at the feedback and see if they have any negatives. Also if the seller is in HONG KONG how hard will it be to get warranty like a set of headlights that leak. Which brings me to my next point I always reseal lights with silicon before I put them on . Most important is read the entire auction at least 5 times or have someone else read it as sometimes you miss something like return policy. You pay for piece of mind when you buy at MT so if lights have a problem they (MT storefront) will take care of you and get issued resolved. You have the weigh the two and see what you are willing to put up with. I personally buy from both but most stang parts I buy here.

Lights are hit or miss and hard to tell where they come from as most have a generic box. A member bought a set of lights from ebay and are leaking I said follow rule #1 always seal them on top of factory seal then again other member bought from ebay with success.

I totally agree with Venom. I have bought numerous items from Ebay with great success but be very selective in your purchases. When it comes to certain items you should stick with power sellers and members with positive feedback.

I've had good experiences and bad with ebay. Like they said just be careful.
