Indeed, it looks like it is coming along great, a tremendous step in the right direction from where that under hood paint was going. =D

Yeah, you're getting there.. I must admit that the Valve covers look really nice.. I'm not sure about the intake though, it looks realllly glossy in the photos, I personally would have gone with a matte/flat finish to match the valve covers a little better.. For some reason that real gloss look makes the intake look plastic, seems maybe a little cheap looking.

It hasn't yet, but it's my daily driver and it hauls me from Arkansas to Texas several times a year. I've put like 17k miles on it in a year, and I'm at 106k miles, so I want to either get a power pack for it and clean up the block while I'm at it, or just drop in a low milage 5.4. The second option is hard and hella expensive, but I really want a V8 haha

I was going to say that I would take your heads and upper and lower intake off your hands but I think I may have found what I need now

*Sigh* I found the damn picture.

Before anyone that hasn't seen this makes fun of him, he has come a very long way since then and I respect him for it.

Here is the thread.

3.8LMustang, I actually can't wait to see the finished results of your car. It's coming along smoothly, it seems.

I do have one question for you, though. How in the hell did you not mess up your motor from that filter being there, sucking in rain, small particles of dust/dirt?

It is accustomed to small particles of dust and dirt, it would be the rocks and bugs that are hitting it now, lol
Thank god that changed.

to answer the ? about how i didnt mess up my motor with the filter out....

I only took it out when it was a bright and sunny day (and when it was cold at night my stang would fell badass with the filter out ), when i knew it was going to rain i would put the whole thing back to were it was and use black gorilla tape to cover the edges, even at night i would put it back in cuz in the morning if i would leave it out it would get all wet cuz of the humidity here. whenever i had it out it did make a big difference, felt a little bit more power and my exhaust was way louder too

it looked like this whenever it was back in (never posted this pic)

(damn gonna have to wait until next week to get it cuz i have it on my work comp)

but like right now i have sumthin similar to that

i only use it for when im at the drag strip and its nothin stickin out of my cowl hood, lol
