its being bored 30 over and ported heads

oh and look wat came in yesterday








this is wat failed, seafoam just cleaned the hell out of it that it just made my problem worse. lol

So what are the specs on the new parts going into the bottom end?

everything is stock except the pistons and rings, they a bore size of 0.030 from stock and i upgraded to Sealed Power w/moly

Since engine is out paint some parts and clean the engine bay well.

nice build but, why didn't you do a split port swap then p/p?

I'm curious about why you did not go with the split port as well...and you should clean the bay up a bit and paint the block.

Stock cam also it looks like you got a different one from the photo's. And I really hope you do the split port swap while its apart like this.

yes i am gonna clean up my engine, alll around....

and yes WNRacing is right. Im not going to do the split port (for the fact that im already spending about 1500 bucks on this and i dont need to add anything else)

I got ya when money is tight you do what you can do. At least you will have better pistons in it and new bearings, by the way are those stock compression pistons?

i think so, i really dont know but the new piston is way bigger than my old one. even that hole in the middle of the new piston is bigger and deeper (sorry dont know wat its called) but i will get all the info once everything is done. and i will also take it to a dyno to see wat number i get

First off my valve covers sorry wasnt able to outline the "FORD" thingy













Now my upper manifold and i just decided to paint the letters red and the rest of the manifold black

well they told me this comin friday so hopefully it will be up and running and if not this friday then i will diffentely need it by next week (say wed) cuz me/wife/inlaws might be going out of town and so we need two cars

Sounds like the new parts are going to work out great. Also the new color combo for the motor is worlds better!! Great job man. Are you painting the block black?

Once it's done take it to the drag strip and see what the extra displacment equals in seconds off your time

and to answer the "block painting ?'s" im going with red cuz since black wont be a very good idea, when i get oil leaks it would be hard to find out were its coming from and for those people said to paint it ford blue, sorry not going with that ethier cuz i really dont like blue

Red should look pretty good with the intake painted that way. So long as it's not Chevy orange, I'm good.
